We're Lewis Glass, an owner-run shop in Franklin providing custom shower enclosures, mirrors, insulated glass, and commercial storefronts across the Nashville-Franklin area. We're hiring a Lead Installer to run a truck and a crew in the field.
This is the person who owns the job from the time the truck leaves the shop to the time it's cleaned up and signed off. If you've got real years in glass and you want a shop that takes quality seriously, keep reading.
We're looking for a strong installer first. If you've got the install experience but haven't formally led a crew yet, apply anyway. We'll look at your leadership potential and grow you into it.
What your day looks like
You'll start at the shop, load the truck, check your glass and hardware against the job, and head out with your crew. Most days you're in client homes around Williamson County and Nashville: a heavy frameless shower enclosure in a new build, a big mirror wall, an insulated glass replacement. Other days you're on the commercial side, setting aluminum storefronts and glass entrances for retail spaces and new construction. You run the install, set the pace, check the finish, and leave the place clean. Then you close the job out in Smart Glazier so the operations team knows exactly where it stands.
What you'll do
- Run the install from shop to closeout: load out, lead the crew, manage the schedule window
- Install heavy shower glass, mirrors, insulated glass units, and commercial storefront to spec
- Set the standard for quality and safety, and check fit, function, and finish before you leave
- Keep customers informed on site and represent Lewis Glass like a pro
- Document the job in Smart Glazier: photos, notes, actual job time, and any follow-ups
- Keep the truck stocked, organized, and ready for the next morning
Who we're looking for
- 5+ years of hands-on glass installation: shower enclosures, mirrors, and insulated glass units
- Commercial storefront and glazing experience is a strong plus
- Crew leadership experience is a big plus. Strong installers without it will still be considered and evaluated on leadership potential.
- Reads a tape, works to spec, and catches your own mistakes before they become callbacks
- Reliable, on time, and the kind of person a crew follows
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record
- Can handle the physical side: lift up to 75 lbs, work on ladders, kneel and stand all day

Pay
$24–30/hour, based on your experience and what you bring to the crew. We pay for skill and reward people who run a clean, on-time job.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
