Position Overview
BEPC Inc. is actively seeking a Sr. Advanced Mechanical Engineer to support our client’s Gas Turbine Engine Rotor Dynamics & System/Transient Dynamics team in Phoenix, AZ. The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and analysis of propulsion engines and auxiliary power units (APUs), focusing on rotor dynamics, system dynamics, and shafting analyses.
This role is ideal for a highly skilled engineer with expertise in finite element methods and a strong background in aerospace turbomachinery analysis. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with customer and program requirements, supporting technical reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform design and analysis using advanced finite element methods.
- Conduct rotor dynamics and transient system analyses for aerospace turbomachinery applications.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to global engineering teams across multiple time zones.
- Validate engineering requirements and ensure project and product compliance.
- Participate in and conduct design reviews and technical presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage risk assessments and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Drive process development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the team.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience performing rotor dynamics or system dynamic transient analyses for aerospace turbomachinery applications.
- Proficiency in ANSYS or NASTRAN finite element analysis software and classical hand calculation methods.
- Demonstrated experience in linear static, nonlinear/elasto-plastic, transient, fatigue (HCF & LCF), modal, shock, harmonic, random vibration, and crack growth analyses.

- Ability to mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
- Proven track record of successful contributions to product development in a regulated industry.
