POSITION SUMMARY:
At the Arapahoe Basin Ski and Ride School, we like to have fun while doing great work and hope to instill a love of snow sports in every guest we meet. Likewise, we want our team to have rewarding careers working alongside people they can trust and respect.
As part of our Indoor Support team, you will work with the Ski & Ride School Management Team to create a safe, clean facility and a positive guest experience in a high-energy environment. This is a no-sliding-necessary role within the Ski and Ride School. In this role, you will be managing indoor operations for our Kids Center: a safe place for our kids lessons to take breaks, have snacks, and warm up.
This role assists with the check-in and late arrival procedures for our Kids Club eight-week program. Comfortability outdoors is necessary, but you will not be required to ski or snowboard. This position is a 15-day commitment for the season, structured to support our Kids Club program.
This position has an estimated start date of December 5, 2026.

WAGE:
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Arapahoe Basin’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, and responsibilities. The range listed is just one component of Arapahoe Basin’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Hourly pay range: $20.50 - $22.50/hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Create a safe, fun atmosphere for our young guests
- Create and manage indoor activities that engage children

Support instructors through breaks and lunch so students can spend optimal time on the snow

Maintain the schedule set up by the Program Supervisor

Work well with peers, management team, and other ski area employees
-
Help children who are having a hard time turn their day around
-
Follow all department sustainability guidelines as expected
Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Customer-facing guest service experience - Required
-
Experience working with children, babysitting - Preferred
- Spanish/English bilingual - Preferred

Basic computer skills
-
Oral and written comprehension

Strong organization skills

Ability to build rapport with children
- Must be available on weekends and holidays

Must provide own ski or snowboard equipment and other necessary gear to work outside in a high alpine, snow, cold environment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma - Required

Camp counselor, child educator, nanny - Preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Capable of lifting 35 lbs

Capable of standing, walking, kneeling, and climbing constantly
