Job Title: Insurance Coordinator

Do you like people and have good communication skills? Part time front desk position available in a fun, expanding outpatient pediatric therapy practice.

We have a highly productive and efficient team and are looking for a personable and motivated individual that will thrive in our team environment. We are looking for someone who will help to maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism. The position will assist with the tasks of the front desk and billing.

Characteristics Needed:

Job Type: Part-time (24-30 hours)

Rate: $16 / hour (based on qualifications and experience).

Job Summary:

The Insurance Coordinator is responsible for managing insurance-related processes to ensure clients receive timely and accurate coverage verification and billing services. This role verifies insurance eligibility and benefits, obtains and tracks prior authorizations, and submits and follows up on insurance claims. The Insurance Coordinator works closely with clients, insurance companies, and internal staff to resolve coverage issues, maintain accurate records, and support efficient revenue cycle operations. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and knowledge of insurance policies and billing procedures are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify client insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits.

Obtain, submit, and track prior authorizations and referrals.

Prepare and submit insurance claims and billing documentation.

Follow up on claim status, denials, and payment issues.

Communicate with insurance carriers regarding coverage and authorization requirements.

Maintain accurate client insurance information and records.

Assist clients with insurance-related questions and billing concerns.

Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company policies.

Provider liaison that serves as a referral source between providers and our practice

Provide administrative support to the therapy team as needed, including data entry, filing, and document preparation.

Confidence in speaking to patients about insurance eligibility and benefits
Detail oriented
Ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines
Adaptable to a growing practice
Customer Service
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Good spoken and written English (strong grammar)
Strong Computer Skills - Knowledge of healthcare billing and insurance processes is a plus but not required.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
