Role Overview
We are seeking a Device Assessment Analyst to join our intake team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating incoming electronic devices and making accurate, consistent determinations about their condition and functionality.
This position plays a critical role in our purchasing process—your assessments directly influence what we buy, how items are categorized, and the overall quality we deliver. We are looking for someone who is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working within structured processes, and takes pride in making precise, reliable decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate incoming devices for physical condition and functionality using established criteria
- Identify defects, inconsistencies, or missing components that may impact value
- Accurately document findings and apply appropriate condition classifications
- Follow standardized processes while using sound judgment in edge cases
- Maintain consistency and accuracy across a high volume of devices
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure alignment on evaluation standards
- Support process improvements by identifying trends or recurring issues
What We’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to notice subtle differences or issues
- Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment with black and white quotas to hit.
- Ability to make consistent, objective decisions using defined guidelines
- Reliable and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership over your work
- Ability to balance speed and accuracy in a fast-paced setting
- Basic familiarity with consumer electronics (phones, tablets, laptops) is helpful but not required
What Sets You Apart
- You naturally catch things others might overlook
- You prefer clear standards and take satisfaction in applying them consistently
- You value accuracy and take pride in getting things right the first time
- You’re dependable and approach your work with focus and accountability
We want to be upfront:
- Departmental flexibility: Roles and departments may shift based on business needs. We value team members who are adaptable and open to learning new skills.
- Growth opportunities: While room for advancement is limited within our small company structure, we deeply invest in your professional development. After about one year, leadership (that’s me!) will meet with you to discuss your goals and explore how we can help you take the next steps in your career — whether that’s with us or beyond.
