Job Title: CNC Machinist
Department: Machining
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Summary:
The CNC Machinist plays a crucial role in the manufacturing of high-quality, aerospace products. The CNC Machinist will safely operate CNC Mills and/or Lathes (3,4,5 Axis) to produce products requiring the efficient set-up, operation and programming of equipment. This can include the simultaneous operation of multiple machines. The CNC Machinist is responsible for maintaining high standards of craftsmanship, contributing to overall product quality, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols throughout the manufacturing process. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality are essential for this role.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Provides accurate and timely set-up of jobs in equipment
· Operates CNC Mills and/or Lathes safely and efficiently
· Reads, interprets and understands blueprints, operational sheets and instructions
· Adjusts controls and enters
· Follows all processes provided and works directly with supervision/engineering to address issues and implement improvements
· Consistently monitors and provides quality inspections using various measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers and gauges
· Accurately enters and collects data from equipment
· Observes and listens to machine operation to detect and/or disagnose issues and notifies supervision in a timely manner
· Follows schedule to build products in accordance with production requirements
· Maintains 5S standards in workstation including tools and equipment
· Perform basic operator maintenance on equipment as required
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Previous CNC Machinist experience in a manufacturing environment
· Solid understanding of CNC Machining and processes
· Ability to read and understand blueprints; GD&T
· Ability to use and interpret basic measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers and gauges
· Ability to perform multiple tasks
· Self-motivated, organized and attention to detail
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to perform basic math
Education and Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Specific work experience with programming, operating and set-up of CNC Mills and/or Lathes
Physical Demands:
· Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
