In-Person Interpreter (Multiple Languages)
Location: Rochester, NY

Languages Needed: ASL, Ukrainian, Russian, Korean, Dari , Somali, Swahili, Karen, Burmese, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Turkish, Kinyarwanda, Haitian-Creole, Tigrinya, French, Spanish, Nepali

Are you passionate about bridging language barriers and fostering effective communication? Join our team as an In-Person Interpreter and work with diverse clients across various industries, including healthcare, education, legal settings, and more!

Position Details

Payment Frequency: Monthly (Note: We do not withhold taxes; a 1099 form will be provided for tax reporting purposes.)
Job Type: Contract
Work Schedule: Flexible—you choose which assignments to accept to fit your schedule.

Job Responsibilities

As an in-person interpreter, you will:

Provide accurate and professional interpretation services at scheduled appointments.
Assist in medical, educational, legal, and government settings.
Ensure effective communication between clients and service providers.
Adhere to confidentiality and professionalism standards. (HIPAA)

Key Information

Location: All appointments are in-person and based in Rochester, NY. Remote options are not available unless explicitly stated.
Mileage: No reimbursement for travel within Monroe County. Mileage for appointments outside Monroe County may be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Dress Code: Business casual attire is required for all appointments.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must:

Be fluent in both English and one or more of the listed languages (oral and written).
Be available to attend scheduled in-person appointments in Rochester, NY.
Exhibit reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanor.
Have previous interpreting experience (preferred but not required).
