Precision MedLab Services provides sales, service, and refurbished support for medical and laboratory equipment. We’re expanding our subcontractor network and are looking for experienced Biomeds who want flexible, project-based work with consistent support and resources.
Position Overview:
We are seeking Biomedical Equipment Technicians (I and II) to subcontract work on an as-needed basis. This role is flexible—you can pick up work during the day, evenings, and weekends. Work will primarily take place at our Laguna Hills site, where all necessary tools and equipment will be provided; however, there will be times that you will need to go to customer sites within Southern California in order to perform repairs.
Responsibilities:
Perform repair, maintenance, and preventive maintenance on a range of medical and laboratory instrumentation.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete repairs efficiently.
Document service work and follow company SOPs.
Maintain quality and compliance standards.

Requirements:
Prior experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (I or II) or in related technical repair roles, as well as the proper certifications and credentials.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
Reliable transportation (Orange County–based site; must be within ~45 miles).
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Must be eligible to work as an independent subcontractor (1099).
Preferred:
OEM, ISO, or hospital/clinic experience with common lab and medical devices.
Familiarity with autoclaves, patient monitors, electrosurgical units, or other medical devices found in hospitals.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly/project-based pay (subcontractor, 1099).
Rate depends on skill, years of experience, and type of assignment.
