Full Job Description

SUMMARY

To repair and maintain industrial process piping systems, chemical lines, and related equipment. Perform welding, fabrication, and general maintenance duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber License required
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required. Technical school certification preferred
Minimum 5 years industrial plumbing experience
Experience with process piping and chemical lines required
Welding experience required (SMAW/Stick, TIG preferred but not required for hire)
Knowledge of various piping materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, CPVC
Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, piping isometrics, and schematics
Experience with various pressure ranges and pressure testing procedures
Knowledge of pipe fitting, threading, flanging, and fabrication techniques
Use hand and power tools, cutting torches, pipe threading equipment
Perform pipe calculations and measurements
Lift up to 100 pounds, work in confined spaces, work from ladders up to 40 feet
Effective written and verbal English communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

Install, maintain, and repair process piping systems and chemical lines
Weld and fabricate piping systems using various materials and techniques
Cut, thread, bend, and install pipe and fittings
Perform pressure testing and leak testing on piping systems
Replace valves, pumps, and piping components
Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and piping drawings
Work with all maintenance crafts on mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance tasks
Assist with equipment installations, pump changeouts, and equipment alignments
Support turnaround and shutdown activities
Snow removal, painting, cleaning, hazmat responsibilities
Respond to emergency callouts with less than 30 minute response time when on call
Follow all safety procedures including LOTO, confined space entry, hot work permits, PSM protocols
Comply with OSHA and company safety standards
Perform other duties as directed

Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour
