Job Summary:

The Ventanita Attendant is responsible for operating La Ventanita which is responsible for greeting customers, preparing and serving food and nonalcoholic beverages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Communicate with customers regarding orders, comments, and / or complaints.
Accept payment from customers and make change as needed.
Request and record customer orders and compute bills using our point-of-sales system.
Serve prepared food items such as gelato, soft serve ice cream, and sorbetto along with non-alcoholic beverages.
Notify leadership team of shortages and / or special orders.
Reports all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures immediately.
Possess a positive attitude and has the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with co-workers efficiently and effectively.
Operates and maintains all department equipment and reports malfunctions.
Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
Personifies the best values of The Betsy brand, demonstrating exceptional work ethic and service delivery for all employees on property.
Perform other tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous customer service experience required, preferably within a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant environment.
Must be able to speak, write and understand English. Ability to communicate in Spanish and / or Haitian Creole desirable.
Must be able to multitask in a fast paced, high quality environment.
Must be proficient in the use of computers and management software.
