Mike Calvert Toyota is looking for an organized, friendly, and detail-driven Hiring Coordinator to support our recruiting and HR team. Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
- Hours: 40 hours per week — full-time
- Location: On-site in Houston, TX
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, keeping the process moving quickly and smoothly
- Serve as the friendly first point of contact for candidates, providing timely updates and a great experience from start to finish
- Maintain accurate candidate records in our applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding and orientation so every new team member has a smooth, welcoming first day
- Prepare new-hire paperwork and coordinate start dates with hiring managers
- Help plan and run employee recognition and engagement events that strengthen our team culture
- Track training and compliance completions, following up to keep records current
- Order and manage employee essentials like name badges, uniforms, and business cards
- Answer routine employee questions and point team members to the right HR resource
- Support recruiting events, job fairs, and a variety of HR projects as needed
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent (HR, business, or related coursework a plus)
- 1–2 years of experience in a coordinator, administrative, recruiting, or customer-facing role — dealership or high-volume hiring experience is a big plus
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong, warm communication skills (written and verbal)
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and quick to learn new systems like an ATS
- Discretion and professionalism with confidential information
- A genuine, people-first, customer-service mindset
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus!
