LET'S GO!! GREAT FULL TIME WEEKEND/WEEKDAY/SLEEP COMPANION JOB AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW!!

Settle into a stable, permanent full time job. We want you! Do you like to work independently in a unique home environment? We are looking for a professional female attendant/guide/mentor to work individually with a young woman with intellectual disabilities in her own adorable home in Novato.

HERE ARE THE CHOICES OF AVAILABLE FULL TIME CONTINOUS SHIFTS RIGHT NOW:

Monday through Friday 6:30 AM-2:30 PM

Monday through Friday 2:30 PM-10:30 PM

Sleep Overnights Sunday through Thursday 10:30 M-6:30AM

Saturday 6:30 AM-2:30 PM ($23) Saturday 2:30 PM-10:30 PM ($23) Saturday Overnight 10:30 PM-6:30 AM ($16.90)

No serious medical care is involved, no violence, no behavior issues. This is a support position with a lovely young woman in her cozy home. We love her and you will, too. This job is perfect for students, nurses, moms, or just someone who is caring, experienced, capable and wants to work.

Since this is a residential situation with a female, the client is requesting a female only for care, support and mentoring.

The Job: Companionship

The job is in Novato, in Marin County. Your client has an intellectual delay. No violence, no behaviors, just sweetness. She is walking, talking, laughing and charming. Your kindness, intelligence, required experience with people with disabilities, personal communication skills, cooking and organizing skills, energy, active lifestyle, sense of humor and common sense will serve you well in this interesting and engaging position. The job will be engaging the client and using all of your talents. And you will be loved and appreciated by our agency!

You will be offering activities, adventures, engagement and community involvement as well as Supported Living Services to help this young women stay safe and happy in her own lovely apartment and community in Novato.

You will be helping with some laundry, cooking, shopping, and some housekeeping, but not more than 20% of the time. You will engage in fun activities that you plan, life guidance, protection, educational opportunities and daily plans. You will be working independently but provided assistance and training from the central agency, Little Red Wagon, as you learn. Your experience with people with disabilities is required, as well as your self-confidence, high energy level, strong cooking and shopping skills, professionalism, competence, toughness, and willingness to learn.

Your Pay and Benefits

1. You will be paid a training rate of $16.90 an hour for all training and meeting hours, for about twenty hours.

2. After training you will be paid $23.00 an hour for the day shifts above, $16.90 an hour to sleep, plus any and all work or activity mileage and expenses reimbursed. All movie tickets and events paid for.

3. You will be offered 40 hours of sick leave

4. You will be paid 1.5 x for any overtime over 40 hours a week.

5. We also pay $20.00 a month toward your data plan.

6. You will be enrolled in CalSavers IRA saving plan

7. You will be paid .725 cents for every mile driven for work.

Requirements

You will drive for errands and activities. You must have your own insured, clean, reliable car with at least two seat belts, a clean driving record (we will check), be computer literate, access to a laptop for training, access to daily email and your own cell phone, preferably a smart phone. Because there is driving involved in the job, you cannot be on any medication with a driving warning or that limits driving. You must have a current CPR certification or arrange for one within 30 days. You must speak very clear English as your client sometimes has difficulty understanding language. You must write clear English as there is daily written documentation. A college degree is not required but you must be drug-free, willing to work in a smoke free environment, with a happy heart. We will drug test.

You will be fingerprinted and thoroughly background checked so you can confirm with us what we already assume...that you are trustworthy.
