Full Job Description

Summary This role is responsible for receiving, labeling samples, preparing laboratory procedures, and assisting senior lab staff with clinical testing, documentation and other duties as needed.

Qualifications: Required bachelor degree in Life Sciences or related disciplines from an accredited college or university.

Required minimum of one year hands-on experience in a molecular biology laboratory setting

Knowledge and previous experience in genetics, biochemistry and molecular biology related techniques, including but not limited to, nucleic acid extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

· Adhere to HRC Policies and Procedures

· Creates copies of orientation binders as needed.

· Assist with typing letters, forms and minutes.

· File, copy and fax documents.

· Print laboratory results daily

· Pull results from outside lab or monitoring clinic daily

· Enter patient information on New Patient Log daily (Excel spreadsheet)

· Reviews Physician’s schedule the day before and make necessary changes to avoid schedule conflict

· Handles written communication i.e. letters, emails, faxes and memos.

· Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail distribution for the physician Team.

· Assists with other work assignments and projects as delegated by the supervisor/team lead.

· Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, promote teamwork, promote positive human relations and organize with strong management/leadership skills.

· Flexible, yet organized, with the ability to exercise sound judgment.

· Maintains confidentiality.

· Ability to work in collaboration with managers, employees of all levels, and the physicians.

· Attend all meetings as required.

· Maintain cleanliness throughout facility.

· Keep work area and surrounding areas in a clean and organized manner.

· Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the practice operates in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Note: Travel is required between multiple sites (Encino and Beverly Hills)

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

Laboratory : 1 year (Preferred)
Healthcare: 1 year (Preferred)
