Due to rapid growth and increasing customer demand, we are seeking an experienced QCS professional to join our leadership team as Technical Service Manager for the Northeast Region. This is a high-impact, hybrid role offering long-term career growth and advancement opportunities within the pulp and paper industry.
About the Role
This is a hybrid position: administrative work is done from home, while 75% travel is required to support customer sites and employees across your assigned region.
Territory Includes:
Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware.

What You’ll Do
As Technical Service Manager, you’ll lead a team of skilled service professionals and ensure the delivery of best-in-class QCS support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Championing a safety-first culture for customers, team members, and the business.
- Building strong customer relationships and expanding contract-based services across the region.
- Overseeing preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and contract compliance to ensure cost-effective, high-satisfaction service.
- Providing hands-on leadership—coaching, mentoring, and developing your team to meet evolving customer and technology needs.
- Managing a remote, regionally dispersed team with professionalism and cultural awareness.
- Conducting regular site inspections, performance reviews, and on-the-job training initiatives.
- Offering first-level technical support and coordinating escalations when needed.
- Driving continuous improvement in service quality, customer satisfaction, and team performance.
Who You Are
You bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership strength, and customer-facing communication. Specifically:
- 5–8 years of experience working in paper mills with ABB and/or Honeywell QCS technologies.
- Strong background in industrial automation, DCS/QCS systems, and process control.
- Solid understanding of maintenance practices, RCFA, and technical troubleshooting.
- Experience presenting to manufacturing leadership and effectively managing customer relationships.
- Proven ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, and manage complex service operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
