The Marketing Communications Specialist supports the execution of OTR’s global marketing strategy through project management, content development, digital marketing, trade show coordination, website content management, sales support and agency coordination. The role is expected to independently manage marketing projects, leverage AI and digital tools to improve efficiency, and help reduce reliance on external agency resources while supporting business growth.
Essential Functions:

1. Manages and executes marketing communications projects across print, digital, social media, email, video, PR and event channels.
2. Develops and maintains the marketing calendar and coordinate project timelines, priorities and deliverables.
3. Creates and updates marketing collateral including brochures, product literature, presentations, sales tools, trade show materials and customer-facing communications.
4. Supports product launches and commercialization initiatives through development of launch materials and sales enablement tools.
5. Coordinates trade shows, conferences, customer events and exhibitions, including logistics, vendors and post-event reporting.
6. Partners with OE and Aftermarket sales teams to develop presentations, customer communications and marketing support materials.
7. Coordinates agencies, freelancers, writers, designers and other external marketing resources.
8. Helps reduce external agency spending through effective internal execution, project management and utilization of AI-enabled workflows.
9. Maintains and updates website content, blogs, landing pages and digital assets.
10. Supports social media planning, publishing and reporting activities.
11. Measures and reports campaign performance using CRM, marketing automation and analytics tools.
12. Identifies opportunities to improve marketing processes, workflows and operational efficiency.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Work Environment:
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. At times, employee might be exposed to manufacturing environment, including forklift traffic, fumes, noise, and operating manufacturing equipment.
Physical Demands:
1. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
2. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM. In order to meet our customer demands and internal objectives, at times this role will be required to work outside of the normal schedule, including weekends.
Travel:
Some overnight travel is expected for this position. There will be local day travel and overnight travel as it is related to event coordination, training activities or support of assigned plants/locations.
Required Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
2. 4–6 years of B2B marketing, communications or marketing project management experience.
3. Trade show and event management experience.
4. Web content management experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
1. Industrial, manufacturing, construction, agricultural or heavy-equipment industry experience preferred.
2. HubSpot, Salesforce, CRM or marketing automation experience.
3. Experience utilizing AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Microsoft Copilot.
4. Experience coordinating agencies and external vendors.
5. Understanding of web publishing/digital platform content requirements.
6. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth company.
7. Industrial B2B experience preferred.
8. Experience creating and editing marketing collateral using templates and desktop publishing tools.
9. Working knowledge of MS Office.
