Full Job Description

Job Description: AirCARE1 Commercial Medical Escorts is a division of AirCARE1, headquartered in Albuquerque, NM. We provide international commercial medical escort to stable patients in need of medical evacuation and repatriation. Most assignments last 2 to 5 days. Many of our patients are medically cleared by a sending facility to either home or a medical facility for continued care. We utilize commercial airline first and business class seating during transport. We are looking to expand our escort pool in various locations across the country.

Available Positions: Per Diem Flight Nurse
Positions Open In: Various Locations, Nationwide

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have and maintain a clear, unrestricted registered nursing licenses from the state they are based.
Must be certified in BLS, ACLS and PALS.
Must maintain a current and valid passport.
Must live within 1 hour from an international airport.
CEN, CCRN, CFRN, CTRN or EMT-P certifications are highly desirable.

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must be fluent in a foreign language as well as in English and have at least 3 years of experience in ER and/or critical care (5 years preferred). Previous flight nurse experience highly desirable. Must have excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Must possess critical thinking skills and be able to adapt to multi-cultural situations. Must be able to function autonomously utilizing remote medical direction and offline medical guidelines. This position requires both domestic and international travel.
