Full Job Description

Job Overview:

$1,200 signing bonus

All Pro All Services, LLC (APAS) is seeking a Transportation Operations Supervisor/Team Lead that will be responsible for the daily management, supervision, and coordination of student transportation services provided under the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) contract. This position ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient transportation of students while maintaining full compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, state regulations, and safety standards. The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with demonstrated experience managing transportation personnel and operations. The Supervisor will serve as the primary liaison between drivers, transportation assistants, parents, school personnel, and APAS company management to ensure the highest level of service delivery.

The Transportation Operations Supervisor is expected to maintain all qualifications necessary to operate company vehicles and may be required to serve as a Substitute or Relief Driver to ensure continuity of service and fulfillment of contractual obligations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management

Provide direct supervision and leadership to drivers, transportation assistants, and other transportation personnel.
Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, accountability, and customer service.
Conduct regular staff meetings and safety briefings.
Coach, mentor, and evaluate employees to improve performance and service quality.
Address employee concerns, conflicts, and disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies.
Promote teamwork, employee engagement, and continuous improvement throughout the transportation operation.
Operations Management
Oversee daily transportation operations to ensure routes are staffed and completed efficiently.
Monitor route performance, attendance, punctuality, and service delivery.
Coordinate staffing coverage for planned and unplanned employee absences.
Ensure vehicles are properly assigned, maintained, and available for daily operations.
Monitor route coverage and implement contingency plans to prevent service disruptions.
Maintain communication with drivers, transportation assistants, dispatch personnel, and company leadership regarding operational issues.
Communication and Customer Service
Serve as the primary point of contact for transportation-related concerns and escalations.
Communicate effectively with parents, school personnel, company leadership, and transportation staff.
Resolve service concerns promptly, professionally, and courteously.
Maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
Prepare written reports, incident documentation, corrective action plans, and operational updates.
Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills in all interactions.

Safety and Compliance

Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements, transportation regulations, and company policies.
Monitor driver qualifications, training requirements, background checks, and certification compliance.
Conduct investigations of incidents, complaints, accidents, and safety concerns.
Ensure compliance with drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Promote and enforce safe driving practices and student management procedures.
Assist with audits, inspections, and contract compliance reviews.

Training and Performance Management

Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training transportation personnel.
Conduct performance evaluations and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
Monitor employee compliance with safety, attendance, and operational standards.
Identify training needs and coordinate ongoing professional development.
Conduct route observations and provide coaching to improve performance and customer service.

Substitute Driver and Operational Support

Maintain all licenses, certifications, clearances, and training required to transport students safely.
Serve as a Substitute, Relief, or Spare Driver, when necessary, due to employee absences, vacancies, emergencies, route changes, or other operational needs.
Provide direct route coverage to ensure uninterrupted transportation services and compliance with contract performance standards.
Assist with route familiarization and driver mentoring.
Support transportation operations during peak periods, special assignments, inclement weather events, and emergency situations.
Demonstrate the same standards of professionalism, safety, customer service, and compliance expected of all transportation personnel.

Reporting and Documentation

Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
Prepare reports related to attendance, incidents, complaints, safety, and service performance.
Track key performance indicators and recommend operational improvements.
Ensure timely submission of required reports and supporting documentation.

Pay: $30.00 per hour
