Full Job Description

Summary – The Product Analyst supports the product development and lifecycle management of existing products and new product development projects through research, data, and deep collaboration with all departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities –

Research

Researches, solicits, analyzes, and monitors client feedback and user experience to inform product needs
Conducts detailed analyses of product plans, risks, costs, ROI, pricing, and features and benefits so that strategy and development teams can make informed decisions
Monitors current market trends and industry developments to identify potential new product opportunities and pricing models
Researches and monitors competitors' products, performing regular competitor analyses for all assigned markets
Pitches new products or updates to Product Manager and Executive Team
Monitors the performance of products over their lifecycle

Collaboration

Collaborates with internal Product and Tech teams to evaluate curriculum, format, and technical feasibility to fully identify production requirements and roadmap timelines
Works with Marketing and Sales to develop product launches and marketing plans
Works closely with Adoption/RFP managers during adoption and bidding processes
Understands the benefits and limitations of each assigned product line and territory, how to communicate this to internal stakeholders throughout multiple departments, and helps inform and develop best practices and processes
Assists with the production of assets to describe products, such as: sales enablement, PD, user manuals, marketing materials, and implementation practices, etc.
Represents the voice of the customer to the company

Travel

Travels multiple times each year to conduct in-depth interviews with individual customers, facilitate focus groups, or collect feedback from many customers on specific issues related to the product

Education and Experience –

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business administration, product development, or related field, with at least 2 years work experience in related field
Proven experience in market research, data analysis, complex problem solving, and product development or project management
Excellent communication skills and growth mindset attitude
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without missing details or making mistakes
Highly organized with a high emotional IQ
Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite and project management software, such as Jira, Trello or LeanKit

Physical Demands –

The employee is required to talk and hear and see. Work will primarily be done via computer, and requires typing experience, and comfortableness with various operating systems, software programs, and user interfaces. At times, this position requires the employee to stand, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, ascend and descend stairs. Also to reach with arms and hands, and use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and manipulate keyboard keys. The employee is also required to lift up to 20 lbs. Company travel may be required by car, plane, or other means of transportation.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
