Job Summary
The Mobile Crane Operator (TSS Specialty Designation) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile cranes and related lifting equipment in support of construction, maintenance, logistics, and specialized technical support operations. The incumbent performs lifting and rigging activities, conducts equipment inspections, and ensures compliance with applicable safety regulations, technical standards, and operational requirements.
Duties
· Operate mobile cranes, boom trucks, and associated lifting equipment to move materials, equipment, and personnel as authorized.
· Conduct pre-operational, operational, and post-operational inspections of assigned equipment.
· Interpret load charts, lift plans, and rigging configurations to ensure safe lifting operations.
· Coordinate with supervisors, signal people, riggers, and site personnel during crane operations.
· Perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) and report deficiencies.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, manufacturer specifications, and organizational safety requirements.
· Assist in developing and reviewing lift plans for routine and critical lifts.
· Maintain required operator logs, inspection records, and training documentation.
· Support emergency response and recovery operations when required.
· Operate in various environments, including construction sites, industrial facilities, and field conditions.
Requirements
· MUST BE Certified NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) Mobile Crane Operator certification in the Telescopic Boom Fixed Cab category
-TSS Specialty Designation certification or equivalent specialized technical support qualification.
· Knowledge of water service installations, utility maps, and excavation practices.
· Certified Rigger and Signal Person credentials.
· Experience with heavy lift and critical lift operations.
· Valid Driver's License. TSS Specialty Designation certification or equivalent specialized technical support qualification.
