Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract)

Location: San Jose, CA Remote

Compensation: $30–$38/hour (DOE)

Hours: Full-time 9am-6pm

Employment Type: Contract, Remote

Professional Japanese language ability required. This role requires Japanese and English communication to support accounting operations and internal coordination.

Company Overview

A global precision technology company serving the semiconductor, medical device, and electronic component industries is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support its accounting team. The organization provides advanced precision manufacturing solutions and operates internationally.

Position Summary

The Accounts Payable Specialist will support day-to-day AP and general accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing. This position requires professional Japanese and English proficiency, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Handle daily Accounts Payable activities.
Post daily general ledger transactions.
Review accounting data for accuracy and make necessary updates.
Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding building-related matters.
Prepare and send invoices.
Provide financial figures and reports to management upon request.
Maintain accurate and confidential accounting records.
Identify and resolve accounting and operational issues.
Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

Professional Japanese and English language ability.
3+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
General accounting knowledge with hands-on AP experience.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred:

Experience supporting AP functions in a corporate accounting environment.
Experience working independently in a remote environment.
Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, or related industries.

Other Details

Remote contract position.
Requires prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
