RMS of Ohio has openings for a DSP position for our Adult Day Support program at our Lima location. Our DSPs are also referred to as Support Associates.
Position Overview: Our Support Associates (DSPs) are responsible for providing supervision, support and assistance to consumers (individuals) as prescribed within the Individual Service Plan/Individual Program Plan to increase independence and quality of life.
Our DSP (or Adult Day Support Associate) is responsible for supervision, training and assistance to participants of RMS adult day program. Services are to be provided within the scope of the Individual's Service Plan (ISP) with the goal of increasing independence and/or improving the quality of life.
Currently, we have two full-time openings and one part-time opening.
Available positions:
- Full-time, day shift
- Full-time, evening shift (12pm to 8pm)
- Part-time, evening shift (1:30pm to 6:30pm)
Program Schedule: our adult day services program runs during the day and evening from Monday through Friday. There are no weekend shifts or overnight shifts.
Position Requirements: Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required. We work exclusively for adults with I/DD living community-based housing.
The preferred candidate should be flexible, organized and a self-starter. Current CPR/FA, Medication Administration is a plus, however we will offer training to the selected candidates. Ability to maintain CPR and First Aid certification. A High School diploma or GED is preferred.
All of these positions must require that our staff be able to drive. You must be at least 21 years age.
You need to have a current valid driver’s license, automobile insurance meeting Ohio’s minimum standards and a clean background check.
