Our slogan is "Nice to meet Chew." Every experience with our company — from devouring a bag of taffy to stumbling onto one of our videos at 1am — should make people scream from the rooftops:

This Is Not a Typical Social Media Job
This is not a "schedule some posts and clock out" role.
This is an ownership role.
You are responsible for how our brand:
We already know social is one of the biggest levers for our growth. When the content is flowing, organized, and firing on both organic and paid, our sales jump by several thousand dollars a day. We need someone who treats that like the opportunity it is.
If you're looking for a job where you're handed a content calendar and told exactly what to make, this won't be a fit.

Content Creation & Voice
- Own our brand voice across every platform — fun, quirky, unmistakably Taffy Shop
- Shoot, edit, and publish short-form video (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) that people actually want to watch
- Show up on camera and pull our team and customers into the fun
- Write scroll-stopping captions, hooks, and copy
- Keep a steady, organized flow of content so we're never scrambling
Growth & Strategy
- Build and run the content calendar across organic and paid
- Plan and manage paid social campaigns (Meta, TikTok) and optimize spend
- Grow followers, engagement, and — most importantly — sales
- Test new formats, trends, and quirky ideas just to see what sticks
Community & Engagement
- Respond to comments and DMs in our voice — fast, warm, funny
- Turn followers into customers and customers into superfans
- Spot and jump on trends, moments, and collaborations
Analytics & Improvement
- Track what's working, report on it clearly, and double down
- Tie content to revenue — know which posts move the needle
- Continuously improve based on real numbers, not vibes alone
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with the storefront and events teams to capture great content (Taffyology classes, new flavors, local events like Ironman, Senior Games, PGA, and pickleball tournaments)
- Support promotions, collaborations, and partnerships with content that converts

Qualifications & Skills
Must Haves
- Proven experience running social media for a brand or business (please share your work)
- Short-form video creation and editing skills
- Comfortable and confident on camera
- Strong copywriting and a genuine sense of humor
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Ability to take initiative and follow through without hand-holding
Nice to Haves
- Experience running paid social campaigns (Meta/TikTok ads)
- You are a guru and fully understand, Meta, Google, TikTok, and other platforms
- Graphic design skills
- Experience tying content to sales/revenue
- A portfolio or accounts you've grown (bonus points if they made us laugh)
- Photography skills/video skills
Schedule & Location
This is a full-time, in-person role based at our Santa Clara shop. Being on-site is how you'll capture the taffy-making, the flavors, the team, and the fun that make our content great. (Adjust if you want to allow any hybrid flexibility.)
