Join Our Team as a Mobile Crisis Specialist in the South Lake Tahoe area!

About Sierra Mental Wellness Group:

We provide a range of services, including outpatient programs, crisis services, crisis stabilization units, and specialized support programs under the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA). Our agency is dedicated to holistic care, innovative treatment strategies, and improving client outcomes.

As a Mobile Crisis Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in launching and shaping this new program, ensuring its success from the very beginning. Be a part of something exciting while providing life-changing support to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.

What You'll Do:
As a Mobile Crisis Specialist, you’ll be a vital part of our 24/7 crisis response team, providing:

Crisis Intervention: De-escalate situations, offer short-term stabilization, and connect clients to the right resources.
Field Assessments: Conduct mental health evaluations, including 5150 holds, and facilitate appropriate care admissions.
Community Linkage: Help clients access social and human services to support long-term well-being.
Collaboration: Work closely with agencies, community partners, and support networks.

Flexible Scheduling to Fit Your Lifestyle!

Take advantage of flexible onsite shifts designed to accommodate your availability:

AM: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
PM: 3:00 PM - 12:00AM
NOC: 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM

Competitive pay structure:

We recognize the importance of your time and expertise, offering a tiered pay structure:

AM Rate: $40.00/hr
PM Rate: $41.00/hr
NOC Rate: $42.00/hr
Meetings/Trainings Rate: $40/hr

What You'll Bring:
We welcome candidates from diverse educational and professional backgrounds who meet one of the following criteria:

Valid Driver's License: Must have or attain a CA driver's license or, for residents of Nevada, a valid NV driver's license.
Master’s Degree: Social work, counseling, or related field + 2 years of counseling experience.
Bachelor’s Degree: Social work, counseling, or related field + 4 years of counseling experience.
Associate’s Degree: Social work, counseling, or related field + 6 years of counseling experience.
