Job Summary:
Provide clerical support to Purchasing and Production Control. Compile and maintain material inventory and production status information to expedite movement of material and parts according to Production schedules and order priorities.
Job Duties: Minimum job duties include the following:
- Request for quotes for production and non-production items.
- Support Purchasing on completing requisitions, create purchase orders on ERP and send them to vendors, follow up status until delivery.
- Quote, create PO and send materials for outside operations such as Plating.
- Coordinate with Purchasing on material shortages and expedite shortages, if needed.
- Send RMA returns to vendors.
- Help Coordinate receiving and inspection priorities.
- Support on the creation and release Work Orders.
- Monitor and expedite material flow.
- Communicate order status and quote lead times to customer service.
- Coordinate backlog and shipments as necessary.
- Support receiving, kitting, shipping and inventory control activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Experience: Minimum two (2) years’ clerical experience. MS Office experience required. Two (2) years’ experience in materials planning and/or inventory control preferred. Detail-oriented and well organized with good communication skills.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience; Associate’s degree preferred.
Physical demands: Able to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Able to perform repetitive work, and have the ability to use a microscope and be able to hold small hand tools. Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
