Job Summary:
The Sales Coordinator provides essential support to the sales team, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication between departments, customers, and vendors. This role is responsible for helping to manage project schedules, process orders, prepare sales documents, and assist customers with timely and thorough follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
· Handles the processing of all orders and quotes with accuracy and timeliness.
· Collaborates with customers, outside sales representatives, and operations team to set up deliveries, and appropriately plans for project needs.
· Procures special order products through existing vendor channels.
· Assists with basic customer account maintenance and billing lookup.
· Reviews monthly reports in order to monitor the team’s progress, identifies shortcomings, and proposes improvements.
· Provides support for inside sales at the location.
· Assists in estimating materials for projects, as needed.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of 2 years of experience in building materials is required.
· High school diploma or equivalent is required.
· Demonstrates initiative and critical thinking to identify challenges, analyze options, and implement effective solutions.
· Skilled in managing multiple priorities, maintaining attention to detail, and meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments.
· Thrives in team settings, contributes positively to group dynamics, and supports collective goals with a strong sense of dedication and accountability.
· Proven experience in sales; experience as a sales coordinator or in other administrative positions is preferred.
· Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office is required and experience with using an order management system is preferred.
