Your role will be instrumental in facilitating clear, accurate, and culturally sensitive communication between English and Spanish speakers, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard and understood.

Duties

Provide real-time interpretation over the phone between English and Spanish speakers, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all communications
Facilitate conversations involving various topics such as healthcare, legal, social services, or customer support, adapting to different contexts with professionalism
Use interpretation techniques to convey messages faithfully while maintaining confidentiality and neutrality
Maintain detailed records of interpreted calls, including summaries and relevant notes for quality assurance purposes
Collaborate with team members to improve interpretation processes and address any challenges encountered during calls
Stay updated on terminology and cultural nuances to enhance interpretation quality across different subjects

Qualifications

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both languages
Experience or training in interpretation, translation, or linguistics preferred
Strong understanding of cultural differences to ensure respectful and effective communication
Excellent listening skills combined with the ability to think quickly and respond accurately under pressure
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Multilingual capabilities beyond English and Spanish are a plus but not required
