Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Application Support Analyst EIT to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support for Geographic Information System (GIS) applications and related IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in system administration, solution architecture, and IT infrastructure management, with a focus on supporting enterprise GIS solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative geospatial projects and enhance system efficiency across diverse operational environments.

Duties

The GIS Application Support Analyst EIT supports utility field operations applications including GIS, WMIS, and MDS.
This role involves application development, configuration, system administration, troubleshooting, and integration to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable electric and gas services.
The analyst also documents operational procedures, provides end‑user support, and participates in 24/7 on‑call rotations.
Application Support: Provide support for GIS, WMIS, and MDS applications used in utility field operations.
Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, test, and implement applications in Windows, Linux, and Citrix environments.
Development: Design, develop, test, and promote enterprise applications across business units.
End‑User Support: Deliver application support for electric and gas business areas.
Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve application/system issues efficiently.
Infrastructure Collaboration: Work with infrastructure teams on server builds, OS patching, hardware tuning, and monitoring.
Database Support: Partner with DBAs for backups, patches, schema changes, and refreshes.
Integration: Integrate GIS, WMIS, and MDS with enterprise applications such as OMS and SAP.
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business areas to understand needs and deliver solutions.
On‑Call Rotation: Participate in 24/7 support rotations and respond outside business hours when required.

MUST HAVE:

Must have hands-on experience supporting or administering GIS (Geographic Information System) applications, preferably in an enterprise environment Experience with GIS Databasing (Geodatabases, Spatial Databases, GIS Data Management) and GIS Interfacing/Integration with enterprise applications Experience in Application Support, Production Support, Troubleshooting, Configuration, System Administration, or End User Support.
Experience supporting WMIS (Work Management Information System), MDS (Mobile Data System), OMS, SAP, or similar enterprise applications will be highly preferred.
Experience working in Windows, Linux, and/or Citrix environments, including application installation, configuration, and patching.
Utility industry experience (Electric Utilities, Gas Utilities, Energy, Field Operations) is a major advantage.
Experience with Oracle databases, SQL, Python scripting, or enterprise application integrations is a strong plus but Python is only a nice-to-have

Shift Timing: 8AM-5PM

Weekly schedule: M-F

CH1

Pay: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour
