Full Job Description

This need is for a correctional facility in Sacramento

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Board Certified Primary Care Physician to join our team at SpectrumACS. This role is essential in providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients in a secure correctional environment, addressing both chronic and urgent medical needs.

Full time positions available, or Per Diem.

Professional Liability / Med Mal insurance can be provided to you through us at no cost.

Responsibilities

Primary Care: Deliver full-scope general medical care, including episodic recurrent care, chronic care, dermatology, preventive care, basic orthopedics, in-office procedures, and routine appointments.

Emergent and Urgent Needs: Manage urgent or emergent cases such as trauma, fractures, chest pain, asthma, and overdose. Follow withdrawal protocols for new intakes with substance use disorders.

Chronic Care: Provide ongoing treatment for conditions like diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, HIV, and chronic pulmonary illness, in line with national guidelines.

Qualifications

Unrestricted MD or DO license in California
Board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
Completed residency training
Current Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
Correctional, urgent care, or ER experience preferred
