SCM Supervisor

Job Summary

The SCM Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating end-to-end Supply Chain Management (SCM) operations, including strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, transportation, warehousing, inventory management, customs compliance, and supplier relationship management. This position will optimize supply chain performance, reduce costs, improve service levels, and support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) initiatives across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.

Reporting to the Controller, the SCM Supervisor will collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Customer Service, and Headquarters to ensure efficient and reliable supply chain operations while supporting the company's long-term growth strategy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain Planning & S&OP

Support monthly S&OP planning and demand forecasting.
Coordinate supply, inventory, and logistics plans with Headquarters and regional sales teams.
Monitor supply chain KPIs and identify operational risks.
Develop contingency plans to minimize supply disruptions.

2. Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

Lead sourcing activities for products, components, packaging, and logistics services.
Identify, evaluate, and qualify domestic and international suppliers.
Build and maintain long-term strategic supplier relationships.
Manage supplier performance through KPIs covering quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
Conduct RFQ/RFP processes and benchmark supplier capabilities.

3. Procurement & Cost Management

Lead negotiations for pricing, MOQ, lead time, payment terms, and contracts.
Develop annual cost reduction initiatives.
Analyze supplier cost structures and identify value engineering opportunities.
Monitor market trends, freight costs, tariffs, and material pricing.

4. Logistics & Transportation Management

Supervise inbound and outbound logistics operations.
Coordinate transportation, warehouse operations, and distribution activities.
Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and 3PL providers.
Optimize transportation routes and shipping costs.
Monitor shipment status and ensure on-time delivery.

5. Warehouse & Inventory Management

Supervise warehouse receiving, storage, inventory accuracy, and shipping.
Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
Coordinate inventory planning with Sales and Procurement.
Support cycle counts and physical inventory programs.
Improve inventory turnover and warehouse efficiency.

6. Customs & Trade Compliance

Ensure compliance with customs regulations and tariffs in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.
Coordinate import/export documentation.
Work with customs brokers to facilitate smooth cross-border shipments.
Monitor regulatory changes affecting international trade.

7. Process Improvement & ERP

Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency.
Develop standardized SCM procedures and KPIs.
Utilize ERP (SAP), WMS, TMS, and Power BI for operational analysis.
Support digital transformation and automation initiatives.

8. Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with Sales, Finance, Customer Service, Production, and Headquarters.
Support new product launches through supply chain planning.
Coordinate supply availability with sales forecasts.
Provide logistics and procurement support for strategic business initiatives.

9. Team Leadership

Supervise and mentor SCM personnel.
Assign daily priorities and monitor performance.
Promote continuous improvement and teamwork.
Train employees in SCM policies and best practices.

10. Reporting & Performance Analysis

Prepare monthly SCM performance reports.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or Operations.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
Experience with international sourcing and procurement.
Experience managing customs regulations and tariffs across North America.
Experience supporting S&OP and inventory planning.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Skills

Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles.
Strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation.
Inventory management and demand planning.
Transportation and warehouse operations.
Customs and trade compliance.
SAP ERP, WMS, TMS.
Power BI and Excel data analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting operations across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.
Knowledge of import/export regulations.
Experience with S&OP processes.
Korean language proficiency (reading and writing preferred).

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
