POSITION: Mig Welder/Fabricator

Position Summary:
Based in Madisonville, Texas, this person is responsible for fitting and welding steel parts together using a Metal Inert Gas (MIG) process. Each job must be performed safely, accurately, and in a timely manner in the welding area.
Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his or her supervisor.
This is a fast-paced production environment designed for motivated welders and fabricators. During your first four weeks, you will learn Texas Pride's fabrication methods, production standards, and trailer-building processes while earning $20.00-$25.00 per hour based on experience. Upon successful completion of training, employees transition into our piece-rate compensation system where earnings are driven by production and performance. Welders who consistently produce quality work and maintain strong productivity often earn between $1,500 and $2,000 per week, although individual earnings will vary based on production, attendance, and overall performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create quality welds
- Operating a forklift if required--training on site
- Assemble trailers as instructed by the floor supervisor
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
- Inspect welds for accuracy
- Prepare product to be welded by grinding and cutting parts to proper dimensions
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
- Running welder at high temperature and feed rate
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and
facilities.
- Accurately read a tape measure down to the 16th
- Assembly of simple suspension system
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards
- Monitor Equipment and request maintenance when needed
- Cut and clean metal using plasma cutter and portable grinders
- Weld material in a flat, horizontal, and vertical position
- Lift raw material manually (up to 50lbs.)
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist, pull, push continuously for long periods of time
- Willing to work 50 hours a week
- Ability to follow instruction given both verbally and in written form
- Performance Expectations: The Welder/Fabricator is expected to produce high-quality work in a safe, efficient, and consistent manner while supporting daily production goals. Successful employees demonstrate strong welding and fabrication skills, attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to teamwork.
