Job Summary
Join our vibrant culinary team as a Line Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine!

La Bodega is a seasonally inspired wood fired farm to table restaurant with influence from Spain, Uruguay and the Basque country side.

We are currently seeking motivated Line Cooks to join team. Applicants should demonstrate a passion for ingredients, technique, discipline, cleanliness, and hospitality. The Ideal applicants will also show that they work well with others and support positive teamwork within the kitchen and restaurant. Previous restaurant line experience or a culinary degree is preferred, but a strong desire to learn and execute the standards of La Bodega is paramount.

In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes with precision and creativity. Your expertise will ensure that every plate served meets our high standards for quality, presentation, and flavor. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace to ensure food safety and efficiency
Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish preparation and ingredient needs
Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling and safety protocols at all times
Support food preparation for catering events or special functions as needed
Ensure all dishes are cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service and timely order completion

Requirements

Previous experience in a dietary department, restaurant, or food industry setting is highly desirable
Strong culinary skills, including knife techniques and meal preparation expertise
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Experience with food preparation, cooking, and serving in a commercial kitchen setting
Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and food service operations is a plus
Excellent teamwork skills along with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
