- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2nd shift - 2:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m.

About the Role
We are currently hiring for a Machine Set-Up Technician on 2nd shift (2:00pm– 10:30pm). In this role, you’ll set up and operate grinding machines used to manufacture twist drill bits, ensuring each product meets exact specifications. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, precision machining, and being part of a company that invests in its employees.
What You’ll Do
Your day-to-day will include:
- Reading blueprints and job cards to understand dimensions, tolerances, and production requirements
- Setting up grinding machines, tooling, and components
- Adjusting machine controls for speed, feed rate, and wheel angles
- Inspecting finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy
- Troubleshooting equipment to keep production running efficiently
- Performing routine machine maintenance
- Completing required production and inventory documentation
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Assisting with machine operations as needed
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, manuals, and procedures
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measurement)
- Knowledge of machines, tools, and mechanical processes
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and identify mechanical issues
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) on 2nd shift and meet attendance requirements
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands to handle drill bits and tools
- Visual acuity includes close vision, depth perception, and color vision
- Must successfully complete a post-offer physical assessment
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
