Full Job Description

The Role
As assistant editor for Trade Press Media Group's commercial cleaning group, you'll shape how a leading B2B audience stays informed about one of the largest facility services industries in the country. As Assistant Editor for our Commercial Cleaning Group, you own a content portfolio spanning flagship print magazines, daily digital, newsletters, social, and virtual events. Your work reaches tens of thousands of facility and cleaning professionals who rely on it to do their jobs better.

This is a strong fit for an editor/writer who is organized under deadline pressure, curious about industries they didn't grow up knowing, and ready to own a beat rather than just fill a queue.

What You'll Own

The quality and accuracy of all print and digital content across the Commercial Cleaning brands
A daily content cadence including digital articles, newsletters, videos, and social posting
Freelance contributor relationships, from assignment through final edit
Virtual event production, including moderating webcasts and live Q&A
Industry awards programs and survey-driven engagement initiatives
Your own story ideas, developed from industry relationships and events you attend

What You'll Do

Report, write, and edit articles for print and digital, meeting deadlines and SEO goals
Coordinate magazine layouts with the graphic designer and manage CMS conversion
Execute interactive online video, infographic, and gamification content
Source, assign, and manage freelance contributors
Host and moderate virtual events and webcasts
Participate in content strategy, brainstorming, and new product discussions

Full-time, hourly (non-exempt)
Hybrid role based in Milwaukee, WI
