Full Job Description

*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental receptionist/Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring smooth operations within the clinic. The idea candidate will be responsible for managing front desk tasks and ensuring the smooth operations of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, and HIPAA regulations, as well as the ability to assist dentists during various procedures. *Responsibilities* - Greet patients in a professional manner, answer phone calls and emails, schedule patient appointments, Assist dentists during examinations and treatments by preparing instruments and materials. - Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. - Perform basic dental procedures such as taking X-rays, impressions, and sterilizing instruments. - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. - Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic. - Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and waiting areas. - Utilize dental software systems, such as Epic, for patient management and record keeping. - Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in patient care. *Requirements* - Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. - Knowledge of medical documentation, medical coding, and dental terminology is essential. - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. - Strong understanding of anatomy related to dental health. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Proficiency in using dental software systems; experience with Epic is a plus. - Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - A commitment to providing exceptional patient care with compassion and professionalism.
