Job Title: Project Manager, Architectural Millwork

About Us:

Traditional Woodworks, a rapidly growing architectural millwork shop in Berwick, Maine, is looking to expand its team! For over 30 years, we have specialized in creating custom, high-end traditional woodworks for residential and commercial clients across New England. We specialize in high end residential and commercial architectural millwork from custom doors, windows, detailed molding, wall and ceiling panels, stairs, custom cabinetry and historical reproductions, our team of skilled artisans takes pride in bringing complex designs to life with unparalleled precision and artistry. We are an energetic team that is excited to work in some of the finest homes in New England.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural millwork or a related construction field, with a proven ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion. You will be a critical link between our clients, design team, and production shop, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all phases of architectural millwork projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and closeout.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and contractors, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop comprehensive project plans.
Collaborate with our in-house design and drafting team to ensure accurate interpretation of client visions.
Oversee the procurement of materials and ensure timely delivery to the shop.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
Coordinate with the production shop to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
Conduct site visits as needed for measurements, coordination, and installation oversight.
Manage project budgets, including cost tracking, change orders, and invoicing.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain meticulous project documentation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in architectural millwork, custom cabinetry, or a similar high-end woodworking environment.
Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and finishes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Buildertrend) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
