Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic software engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Java-based applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in software development, with a focus on Java technologies and modern frameworks. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet business needs and adhere to best practices in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects utilizing microservices architecture, cloud platforms, and a variety of web technologies.

Duties

The Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, and maintains software solutions aligned with customer requirements, following secure coding standards and the software development lifecycle.
This role involves backend and full‑stack development, cloud technologies, system optimization, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑performance applications.
Software Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain software programs based on requirements.
Requirements Analysis: Gather, document, and analyze customer and business needs.
System Optimization: Handle error/exception management, performance improvements, and technology research.
Cloud Security: Apply secure cloud technologies and encryption methodologies.
Collaboration: Work with leadership, product owners, architects, and business liaisons to align solutions.
Architecture & Design: Maintain and enhance system design using test‑driven development.
Technology Research: Explore new technologies to improve design, security, and performance.
Integration: Implement SOAP/REST web services and third‑party integrations.
Database Optimization: Optimize SQL operations including queries, caching, and clustering.
DevOps Practices: Apply best practices in code repository branching/merging and system integrations.
Infrastructure Management: Implement and upgrade platform infrastructures; configure Apache Tomcat for Java applications.
Agile Participation: Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to project deliverables.
Full‑Stack Development: Build end‑to‑end application solutions across frontend and backend.
Professional Skills: Demonstrate initiative, problem‑solving, negotiation, and self‑management to meet timelines.

MUST HAVE:

Must have 10+ years of strong Java development experience
Must have hands-on experience developing J2EE / Java EE enterprise applications
Must have JSP (Java Server Pages) and Servlets experience
Experience building or supporting REST and SOAP web services is required
Must have SQL database development experience using Oracle, DB2, JDBC, PL/SQL, or similar technologies
Experience deploying or supporting Java applications on Apache Tomcat, WebSphere, or similar application servers
Must have GitHub/Git experience and exposure to Agile development environments.

Shift Timings: 8AM-5PM, M-F

CH1

Pay: $55.00 - $57.00 per hour
