Full Job Description

Location: Branches Leesville in Leesville, LA

Brentwood Hospital is looking for a dynamic Counselor / Social Worker to join our team of professionals who are dedicated to providing help and hope to individuals and families for the achievement of improving their mental health. Responsibilities

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address clients' mental health needs.
Develop and implement treatment plans based on clients' assessments and goals.
Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide case management services, including coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.
Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques as needed to support client progress.
Engage in clinical counseling to help clients navigate personal challenges effectively.
Facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for participants.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, ensuring optimal outcomes.
Provide direct support to clients during their therapeutic journey, promoting resilience and recovery.

Requirements

A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required; licensure as a therapist is preferred.
Experience in behavioral health settings is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical records management and coding practices is beneficial.
Familiarity with case management processes and best practices in clinical counseling.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Understanding of inpatient care dynamics and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches accordingly.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends and best practices.

Education / Experience: Master's Degree in social work, counseling or related field. Experience in inpatient or outpatient mental health setting preferred.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Licensure: LPC or LCSW license required.
