Full Job Description

Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 base, plus performance bonus

Location: Hybrid — NJ/NYC home base with frequent travel to event sites

Reports to: Lead Producer with Oversight from Founder

About the Role

As an Event Producer at GPSE, you'll support full-scale productions from first conversation to final breakdown — galas, conferences, fundraisers, festivals, and large-scale celebrations across the NY metro area. You'll be a part of the Client Relationship team, contribute to the creative process, build budgets, manage cross-functional vendor teams, and make hundreds of small decisions a day that add up to impactful events.

This is a role for an event producer who's already done the work for at least two years and wants to grow — someone who reads a room, anticipates the next three problems before they happen, and brings calm to high-pressure moments. You'll be a trusted partner to clients and a solid team player.

Stone Events has produced spectacular large-scale events on a national level — galas, conferences, fundraisers, festivals, and celebrations that move people and exceed goals. Founded by Gail P. Stone, a former senior leader at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and one of NJBIZ's inaugural "Best 50 Women in Business.”

We're a small, senior team that works in true partnership with our clients — strategizing, sweating the details, and standing shoulder-to-shoulder on event day. We do it with humor. We do it with strategy. We do it together.

What You'll Own

Support 10-15 large-scale events per year as a supportive producer
Partner with clients to shape event vision, narrative arc, and guest experience strategy
Source, negotiate with, and manage vendors — venues, AV, catering, talent, design, production
Support site visits, walk-throughs, rehearsals, load-in, show calls, and breakdown
Planning/timeline documents in Asana, Excel, Google Docs, PowerPoint
Represent GPSE in client meetings, pitches, and industry settings with poise and authority

What We're Looking For

You'll do well in this role if you:

Have at least 2yrs of producing live events that include at least 1 large-scale production ($250K+ budgets)
Have supported high-profile galas, fundraisers, conferences, or corporate productions end-to-end
Worked within budgets and timelines with precision, and can defend a number when asked
Build genuine, trusting relationships with clients, vendors, and team members
Communicate clearly in writing — decks, emails, run-of-shows, recap reports
Have strong instincts for design and guest experience, even if you don't design yourself
Collaborate with other producers with warmth and standards

You'll also need:

Equivalent industry and professional experience
Proficiency with project management tools Asana, Dropbox, Google Workspace and Microsoft Suite
Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours during event weeks
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Authorization to work in the United States
