Licensed Architect

Location: New York, NY
Company: New Empire Corp.
Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 per year

Position Summary

New Empire Corp. is seeking a highly experienced Licensed Architect to join our development team. The ideal candidate is a licensed architect with over 20 years of professional experience, a strong background in multifamily residential and mixed-use developments, and extensive knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the New York City Building Code. This role will oversee architectural design, technical coordination, code compliance, and project execution from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead architectural design and technical development for residential and mixed-use projects.
Prepare, review, and coordinate architectural drawings using BIM (Autodesk Revit preferred).
Ensure all projects comply with NYC Building Code, Zoning Resolution, ADA, and applicable regulations.
Coordinate with developers, engineers, consultants, contractors, and government agencies throughout all project phases.
Review construction documents, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
Provide technical guidance during design development, permitting, and construction administration.
Resolve design and construction issues while maintaining project quality, schedule, and budget.
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure design intent is maintained.
Mentor junior architects and BIM staff while promoting best practices within the design team.
Support value engineering initiatives without compromising design quality or code compliance.

Qualifications

Licensed Architect in the United States (New York license preferred).
Minimum 20 years of architectural experience.
Strong proficiency in BIM and Autodesk Revit.
Extensive knowledge of NYC Building Code, zoning regulations, and permitting processes.
Experience with high-rise residential, condominium, and mixed-use developments.
Excellent coordination and project management skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Mandarin Chinese fluency is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with New York City developers.
Familiarity with construction administration and consultant coordination.
Experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual Salary: $150,000 – $200,000, based on experience and qualifications.
