Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated A/R Representative to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a solid understanding of financial concepts.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft to track and manage financial transactions.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations while performing financial analysis and reporting.
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Engage in negotiations with clients regarding payment terms and outstanding balances while maintaining excellent customer service.
Perform data entry tasks accurately, including journal entries and double-entry bookkeeping.
Collaborate with the accounting team on corporate accounting tasks, including accounts payable when necessary.
Assist in medical billing processes by understanding CPT coding and ICD-10 terminology as needed.
Maintain organized records of all transactions and communications related to accounts receivable.

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles, preferably within public accounting or non-profit accounting environments.
Familiarity with financial services concepts, revenue cycle management, and medical collection practices is a plus.
Proficient in using financial software tools; experience with Quicken is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account reconciliation and credit analysis effectively.
Excellent math skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively over the phone while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
