Full Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Production Support / SRE (Systems Operations Engineer 4 - Contingent) to join their team. As a Production Support / SRE (Systems Operations Engineer 4 - Contingent), you will be part of the Systems Operations team supporting critical banking platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Production Support / SRE (Systems Operations Engineer 4 - Contingent)

Location:Charlotte, NC

What's the Job?

Provide hands-on production support and reliability engineering for Pega Smart Investigate and PFIX environments.
Ensure high availability and stability of production systems through proactive monitoring, incident response, and operational readiness activities.
Lead and participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortem reviews to improve system reliability.
Design, implement, and enhance monitoring, alerting, logging, and performance metrics to improve early detection of issues.
Identify manual operational tasks and develop automation solutions to reduce toil and enhance system resilience.

What's Needed?

Experience supporting Pega platforms in a production environment, acting as a subject matter expert for platform reliability.
Background in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or platform operations roles.
Proven experience in incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis.
Proficiency in automation or scripting languages such as Python and/or Java.
Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or AppDynamics.
