1st meridian healthcare services definitely is in a league of there own with the availability job opportunities for care givers. Nevertheless, as a care giver you are expected to travel long distances providing hard labor hands on care for $17  is an equivalent to free labor. You receive absolutely no consideration for fuel cost. Moreover, the company is very cheap and a bit unorganized. Specifically scheduling, if I could explain. A listing of employees should be made by there zip codes so they can receive clients that are within 10-15 minutes away from the caregiver's home. In doing so more assignments can be excepted and booked per worker and the low payment compensation would be a bit easier to accept. Leadership and management and scheduling in office staff are nice nasty for lack of better words. You receive absolutely small with a frown and the energy is oppressive. There is also a lack or mixed culture within the staff. If the company changes its pay rate and made weekly pay periods they would definitely have a lower turnover and keep their caregivers  completely staffed at all times. I find it hard to accept assignments consistently do to my lack of pay to afford fuel to get to my clients. 

I first joined the company as entry-level Administrative Assistant. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. For me, the workload that was put on me was appropriate. I would describe the workplace as fast-paced, with new challenges happening often. I don't believe this is the fault of the company but due to the nature of business (managing 200+ Caregivers and 150+ clients with those number growing week to week). Fortunately I was able to promote quickly through the company. I do believe if you work hard here, you have a good opportunity to move up in the ranks fairly easily. As the saying goes: "You get what you put in." The company truly cares about their Caregivers and clients. What makes the job difficult is a lot of unpredictable variables (staff calling out last minute, clients cancelling shifts last minute, clients having unrealistic expectations, etc). Despite these challenges, the company has still continued to grow and has even added a new division. What I enjoyed the most was that my superiors trusted in me allowed me to work without excess micromanaging.

I accepted a position as a clinical field manager and I am a licensed nurse. The director my first week started asking me questions about my personal life, asking about my family etc.  I then shared my faith as It is extremely important in my personal and professional life and is the center of my family life to lead with integrity, compassion, dignity, and respect. It is part of my life, and who I am,  I was let go the next day for believing in God. They do not like Jewish people

Friendly  and open minded. Constant work offered.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
12 hr shifts and plenty of open cases to add to work schedule.

Misleading you with pay .They are rude.
It's like an auction place. You don't always get the same pay. Take the hostile environment. Some of the scheduling girls have an attitude in are very rude. The whole scheduling process it's overwhelming. Overall no stars for this company. please quit run from this company.

Office staff members are extremely rude & unprofessional to their employees & management (Sophia) does not like to pay the caregivers what they are worth unless it's an emergency & she needs someone to cover the shift. Very dishonest & misleading during interview.

Working for 1st Meridian Care Services has been great. It is a fast-paced and busy work environment, but also a fun and fulfilling one that allows you to have some work/life balance at the same time. The company continuously grows, and they truly value their employees, caregivers, and clients.
