Management is completely terrible on the TA side, which ultimately stems from the Director. The job was enjoyable under previous management, now it’s going downhill. Turnover rate is EXTREMELY high, no opportunity for advancement nor cross-training (false promises), overwhelming workload with no compensation be given, the mission and core values don’t align with their treatment of employees, and most importantly, FAVORITISM is abundant. They cater to “yes” people, so if you go against the directors idea or voice your concerns, you’ll be on the “attitude” list or they will try (or succeed) in getting you fired. It’s disappointing because there’s so much great talent here, but management fails to see that and ignore their employees suggestions to raise the morale, so the turnover rate will remain high - which is a plus for the company so they can hire someone new and pay them less WITH a heavy workload. Management needs some serious training in order to lead AND be able to work with different personalities OR they need to hire some people who are actually qualified for the position. Lastly, you have to be your own advocate because everyone is out for their own benefit and will twist your words to make you the villain. This job is good for someone fresh out of college to get their foot in the door and then leave. I would not recommend due to the above reasons and most importantly, I truly feel the company’s mission and values has fell far from where it was originally. Quantity > Quality

A typical day at 24Hr HomeCare consists of providing the most excellent level of service to both clients and caregivers by providing non-medical services to the elderly or those in need.  The internal employees and upper management are friendly and willing to go the extra mile for anyone who calls.  At 24Hr HomeCare, I have learned everything from screening, hiring, and managing external employees to selling the elderly or those in need on services, all about managing billing and payroll, and reporting to management.  I have also learned to delegate tasks to internal employees, and provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction.  In my opinion, the most difficult part of the job is the fact that each employee is expected to manage multiple things at once, grow the business, keep both employees and clients happy,be detail oriented, and get out at a decent hour.  The company motto is to "care and compete like a champion today to achieve success tomorrow," and this motto holds true.  The most enjoyable part of working at 24Hr HomeCare is the positive and fun workplace that it has to offer.

Horrible company to work for! Zero follow through from administration. Highly unprofessional and very poor communication. Company does not ever address employee concerns. Very disorganized communication all around. Rude people handling the phone lines. Divisional managers are clueless on how to timely address concerns. HR and senior management here is a total joke. Very poor leadership and vision. Company is only in it for the money. Highly recommend that you do not work for this company. Zero focus on people. One hundred percent focus on rapid growth and expansion. All around atrocious company to work for. Lots of other truly professional home "care" companies out there. Work for any others except 24 Hour Homecare. Administration here needs a crash course in professionalism and respect. (Instead of constantly ghosting people and ignoring them simply because they are too "busy" to be bothered with practicing basic human decency and civility.) Seriously could not say enough negative things about this so called "caring" company. Work here at your own risk.

I'm giving two stars solely for the people I have met during my time here. Great great clients. Although you will meet some terrible clients as well But that is out of this companies power. The management though is the worst I have seen in a while. They will cancel your hours if they find someone more experienced. Management will not help you with any of your questions. Get ready to be placed on hold for 29 min at a time. I worked out of the FULLERTON office and there would be situations with clients that I wanted to deal with personally with the manager but she constantly dodged my calls and lied to me constantly about what the next course of action will be. After two months I finally connected with her and she promised to compensate me for a specific situation I was in with a client but that never went anywhere. They have old/outdated care plans for the caregivers that could be a threat to both the client and the caregiver. Get ready to lift 300 pound clients with nothing but a gait belt and sheer devotion without a single warning from management.

I've realized every single one of these places exploits care providers and clients for profit. They won't care about any medical or family issues and will guilt trip or threaten you into coming in to work when it is unsafe for yourself and your client. They do not care about you as a person. You will be hired as per diem and they will just give you any extra jobs they have lying around. They will expect you to pick up any shift they offer or provide a valid reason why you cannot accept the shift, no matter how last minute their request. In this case, I was unable to reach anyone in higher management and when asked to speak to a manager, the scheduler literally refused to do so. You are powerless. They also hired me a bit above minimum wage and then reduced everyones pay with the next hiring phase, which is always really because there is a massive amount of turnover and inability to retain employees. Unfortunately, this climate exists in every single care provider job, save private care paid by the family directly. Just change your job or you will get stuck in that field and no one else will hire you. It is quicksand.

Drive to my patient's house, or location. Introduce myself and let them know who I was and what I was going to do. I would help them with their ADL's, provide assistance, light house work, cook, Medication reminders and answer any questions they might have.
I learned a lot from each patient, I would observe them and watch their behavior. I would read up on their diagnosis prior to working with them, just to know what to expect and what to be aware of. For example, allergies and possible drug interactions. I managed their care and would provide a responsible and safe environment around them. I cannot speak much of co-workers because usually it was always one-to-one care, but the ones I did meet where professional and educated. 
A hard part of the job would be scheduling clients that were near my location, driving sometimes would get out of hand. I would just prefer having one location to work at and know my hours, consistency. The most enjoyable part of the job is getting along with the client and helping them, provide patience, and hear them ask if you will be working with them the next day.

By far the worst job I have ever had. I was a care coordinator, but what it really means in day-to-day terms is I was a customer service representative and begged caregivers to take random shifts that popped up. Incredible amount of stress, huge workload, and absolute pennies for pay. 
Upper management sucks. The company is really not doing well right now and they host these meetings telling us that it's essentially our fault. They tell us to push ourselves and do better to help the company. It's extremely condescending. 
We were chronically understaffed which led to a ton of stress. My manager would also tell us to clock out early to save the company money, but if we had work left to do we would get reprimanded for costing the money, meaning we were expecting to do free labor for the sake of the company.
Turnover rate is HIGH because this job sucks so much. You begin as a motivated self-starter and they just suck the life out of you. Awful pay, no substantial benefits. Please look elsewhere. 

Where do I start? I've been treated like a person, not just an employee since I started about 9 months ago. I came into the position with no prior knowledge in recruitment/talent Aquisition. I began working from home and was provided all the training necessary to be successful in my role. My team and managers have always been helpful and ready to answer any questions. We do get bonuses for hitting goals such as giftcards and cash bonuses added to paychecks. I feel like I have a great work life/balance and do not feel guilty for taking time off, which is great. There is a lot of collaboration and sharing ideas on how to improve process or the company as whole and opinions are respected and valued. Overeall, I do recommend working for 24 Hour Home Care, as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator/Sourcer.

It's hard to write a con as I have really enjoyed my time working here. I do have seen movement is long term and employees in my department leaving the company. That might me something management may need to keep an eye out for.

I have worked for this company for 3 years now and have never been able to rely on full time work for more then a week or two at a time.  The shifts are so spotty at times I'd only work 13 hours a week.  The communication between staff and caregivers is a nightmare and could be extremely worked on.  I thought that the pay was good at first but after not receiving my first years pay raise and then to be told that $16 an hour is the max pay they will give even when I have 10 years of experience in this field has made me definitely reconsider working for this company even more.  It's great that you can make your schedule that's a plus but there's just too many downfalls to the company and how they treat their employees I couldn't continue to work for the company anymore. 

I highly enjoyed my time with company, i wouldn't recommend it as a primary gig. The scheduling team will do their best to help you, but a lot of time the case are either last minute or really far for really short hours which isn't worth it. there are benefits but you need to be full time in order to get them which is kind of difficult to do since your hours are based n the patients'/ clients' own funding or their insurance. Supposedly they comp back for your travel if you have several cases in one day, but i have not seen that since then.

But ill leave this at that, if you wish to have an easy going one on one personal job, dont mind cleaning, striking up a conversation, bathing/ cleaning/ assisting an other person: by all means go for it. It's definitely good experience to explore especially if you want to go into the medical field.
