As a registered nurse within the Advocare community my job duties include exhibiting critical thinking skills while triaging phone calls in the medical field. My other job responsibilities include performing head-to-toe assessments, wound care, finger sticks (hemoglobin, lead, blood sugar), breathing treatments, pulse ox, obtaining vitals, catherizations, urine analysis, strep tests, testing stool for occult blood, providing education on tube feedings, yearly screenings, administering vaccinations and medications, and treating sprains and strains. My job responsibilities also include performing health assessments to help protect the health of the patient and promote safety and wellness. I am able to demonstrate critical thinking, organizational, assessment and communication skills, as well as working in partnership with the physicians, other nurses, and other members of the health care team. Also having one on one interaction with patients and their families while showing true compassion and working on patient safety and satisfaction goals.

What is the best part of working at the company?
in my opinion there was no best part due to employees being able able to do whatever they wanted without any consequences. Some of the employees never worked a full-time schedule due to socializing with friends throughout the day.  Some employees took advantage of taking a two -three hour lunch.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being a hard-worker didn't count for anything instead the boss allowed people to do whatever they wanted to as long as the work got done but it was unfair to those who did work hard.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment was not good due to morale being even worst.  It's hard to work in an environment where there is no fairness to all employees.  People who work the hardest didn't receive a promotion but instead got reprimanded for making one little mistake which resulted in people re-signing from the company.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very stressful due to not enough people being hired to assist those who had more work than others, taking work home to get it done when no one else was doing the same.

I have worked at Advocare Moorestown Pediatrics for 5 years in an autonomous clinical role. A typical day will start at 9am and go until 5:30pm.  I will see between 22 and 28 patients in an 8 hour period. This would include well child visits, from newborns to 26 years old, as well as sick visits. It is a small practice with a "family" feel to it. The owner of the practice is retiring this year and as a result I need to find another primary care practice to employ me before the year 2020. The management is very laid back and does not micromanage at all. As a matter of fact, I was diagnosed early on with breast cancer and the entire staff has been extremely supportive.  The hardest part of the job is the time constraints of a 15 minute office visit.  Sometimes, you just simply need more time to spend with the patient or family. The most enjoyable part is getting to watch the children grow up right in front of your eyes. It is a privilege and an honor to be such an intimate and important part of their lives.

All staff are fairly respectful and easy to work with expect front office supervisor. She does not know how to respectfully tell you of mistakes. She wants you to fail. Instead of informing you what you did wrong instead she uses aggressive words such as, “you need to do this”.  The staff is trained to put supervisor first. If I was in the middle of helping a patient I would be interrupted by a call from a supervisor because of something little such as highlighting. Patients complained about front desk manager as well. Today before I was terminated, I accidentally took a call and scheduled a patient for an appointment after the patient notified me of someone who rudely hung up on her after she told the manager she was leaving the facility. It wasn’t until after I was terminated that I found out she did not want me to book the appointment for that patient. Training was very unorganized, they only have two girls that train and when one of them was sick during my first week of training I sat and shadowed the front desk.

The patients are miserable because they wait for literally hours to see the doctor. The office is managed by two very clique oriented women. Beware.  It's an extremely tiny office and if you dont get along with the two women managing it then they will bully you right out the door. They will set you up for failure make you to be the odd one out and are willing to scream and berate you infront of your peers. Why an office of only 10 employees even needs two managers should tell you something.  There are no scheduled lunch breaks. You also have to eat your lunch at the nurses station which is not only unsanitary but AGAINST state regulations. This is a horrible work environment.  RUN. You will not learn here. You will not further your career. You will set yourself back by working at this place. And likely, if you are a patient, your children will get sick just by going there. No one cleans anything.  Even their ear levage tubing had black mold in it and I was told it wouldnt get replaced. Faulty equipment.  Faulty employees.  Faulty employers.

I loved it here! Advocare was a remarkable place to work due to its dynamic and inclusive environment. The company fostered a culture of collaboration and respect, where every team member’s input was valued. The leadership was supportive and approachable, creating a positive atmosphere where achievements were recognized and celebrated. Additionally, the organization emphasized work-life balance, allowing employees to manage their personal and professional lives effectively. The commitment to excellence and employee well-being made it not just a job, but a place where I felt motivated and engaged. Overall, it was an exceptional experience that contributed greatly to my professional and personal growth.

Office Manager is Petty, distrusting, and bipolar. Does not know how to keep personal life and business separate. The first step would be to replace her. Sets unrealistic goals for staff by overwhelming them with workload then makes you feel incompetent keeping up with the work. Sabotages best workers may be due to jealousy, don't even think to use your brain, it is not appreciated.  Practitioners treat staff like they are dumb and replaceable. No recognition unless you are a brown noser. It is all about quantity, not quality. Corporate does Nothing !!!! Don't be fooled by the interview this place will literally drain the life out of you!

The best part of the job, the patients are lovely & some coworkers are real. Others make you feel like you are in high school all over again and they are all adults.

I'm writing this review as I saw another review from a CNM that appears to be made to look as if it was me writing the review, as I am the only CNM to leave the company in the last 5 years.  I enjoyed my years at Premier OBGYN of South Jersey and it was a great learning experience for me. I was a new CNM when I started.  I had back up Physicians who I trusted and were very supportive.  My coworkers were friendly and I still keep in contact with some of them.  The employees really cared about the patients, which is important to me.  I have worked in "toxic" work environments in the past, and this definitely was not one of them. I left this job due to life changes and would not be surprised if I end up back here some day.  No work place is perfect, but I enjoyed my years at Premier, and would recommend working here if you ever get the opportunity.  

A typical day at work consisted of bringing back patients and collecting all medical information, administering vaccinations and other medications. I learned to be more comfortable with myself and other people working in this position. It took me out of my comfort zone. Management wasn't the best but, it made us stronger in the sense of having to solve our own problems and take action as a team. My co-workers were wonderful, I learned alot of new techniques because of them. The hardest part of the job was not having a life outside of work, I was there from 11:00 am to sometimes 9:00 pm. The most enjoyable part of this position was everything I learned about being a medical assistant and dealing with people, not only patients, but co-workers and management as well.

My days were always busy coordinated between two locations. Meeting with physicians/staff and management. I learned a lot about multi tasking and the importance of organization and structure. I worked closely with management to coordinate office policies and procedures and follow through. I really enjoyed working with my staff the communication and respect not only for the job but with each other. The hardest part was navigating through insurance companies for reimbursements. I enjoyed my job from teaching, learning, meeting with patients parents and making sure that their needs are being addressed and I made sure there was always follow up to any situation.
