Managers dont listen to senior engineers, they want to micromanage engineers, they get managers that dont have a clue "up to speed" so they can micromanage the engineer that has EONS for experience, lots of nepotism going on, they block you every time you need something changed or modified to accomplish what the manager wants.  They have "willing to accept change" on the performance review form but are unwilling to accept change themselves even when its to accomplish a goal that will make things better.  Unrealistic deadlines due to incompetent management.   Impossible to get work done since they refuse to change anything. They place managers above you who dont have anywhere near the experience you have.  They are brilliant at car insurance but not so much with everything else.  They intentionally call EVERYONE an analyst and not engineer so they can justify micromanaging everyone..

When I was hired and during the interview process, I was promised many things that never came to be. Management for my department was poor, manager was never there and when she was in the building, she never was there to help. A lot of toxicity and negativity in the workplace and poor learning time. You were expected to learn something one week a certain way to only be told the following week it was incorrect. I was told before that this company was amazing, but it's gone downhill. There's more new people than there are older and experienced workers, and everyone just seems miserable. Not a great workplace

The people I worked for and with were all friendly.  Aipso was a great company  to work for

There was no stress working for this company.  They are very accommodating

The environment and culture there was very laid back and accommodating 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
My position was not micro managed, so I would perform my day to day tasks independently

My position was busy but not stressful busy. The company culture was great and the people were friendly. The company is a great place to work but depending on which department/unit and manager you worked in and for the work load could be distributed more fairly. Had my job duties not changed a year after I was hired, I probably would still be working there.

Great place to work if you can find  a position at the top; but getting there from the bottom is like buying a winnng powerball ticket.  If you want a place with low stress great people decent Benefits and no Upward mobility while making 75 cents on the dollar where you are not stressed out this is your place.

Aipso cares about it's employees with great benefits and work/life balance.   Amazing number of employees have worked here for over 20 years.   One downside of this is poorer performers are shuffled into different positions instead of being held accountable.

If you're looking for a career, Aipso is a great choice.

AIPSO has always been a supportive company of employees family and work life balance.
The culture is changing and change isn't always easy but our retention rate is very high so we are working together to get through the changes and come out better on the other side.

Management micromanages daily work tasks, unprofessional gossip, workplace acts as if still in high school, unfair workplace. Training is completely ignored, no facilitation given in learning the job. 

Great place to work. Awesome colleagues, great work life balance. Good location. Love working here and seems like pretty much all my coworkers agree. Everyone is super kind

AIPSO is a residual market insurance company.  very challenging at first but rewarding once one gets the hang of what it is they do there.  many different job types, multiple opportunities to do different things
