My experience with Advantage Technical was consistently frustrating. Communication from upper management was/is poor from the start. When issues came up, management was either unavailable, dismissive, or quick to shift blame instead of helping resolve the situation. There was no sense of accountability, and problems that should have been handled professionally were swept under the rug.

The company operates with a warm body mentality, and workers feel replaceable while support is minimal. The assignment I was placed in was chaotic and unsafe, and when I and others raised concerns, nothing meaningful was done. Instead of advocating for their employee(s), they distanced themselves and left us to deal with the fallout.

Employees believe that if they do not quietly endure mistreatment, they could be fired at any moment, and it becomes obvious that the company will not stand behind them when problems arise.

Employees quickly learn that the safest way to keep their job is to act like a "yes man", because anyone who speaks up or pushes back is treated as a problem instead of a person whose concerns deserve to be taken seriously. 

Since Advantage Technical upper management is not on site, they do not have a real understanding of what is happening day to day. The program managers they rely on are also "yes men", which only reinforces the disconnect.

Based on my experience and the experience of my peers at the job site and those whom have also left this toxic work environment, this is a pattern. If you are looking for stability, communication, or a company that stands behind its workers, this may not be the right fit for you.

When I started in 2011 as part of the Profero team it was a really fun and exciting place to work.  Over the years of being bought and sold the company lost a lot of it's focus on employees and became more about the bottom line.  

Sad to watch numerous long standing employees be let go due to consolidation. 2013 was a very hard year for the staff and management.  I hope that 2014 is a better year for the whole company.

They told me that I will be working there for a month and ended up only working there for two weeks. Management was very unsure about our job security. It was a contract but understandably was an at will contract but they were so unsure about what was going on with the client wanted.

Good owner and staff.
Very few permanent positions.
90% of work is contract assignments, however, the assignments are usually a good fit with term and expectations made clear in the beginning. the owner seems to have a good feel for the market in his area.

Management Team supported me on all assigned projects which totally kept work environment a pleasant one.  They quickly resolved any personal benefit issue I had due to change of address with great satisfaction.

I was staffed through Advantage Technical and worked for Hope University for a year. The people, for the most part, were great. I learned a lot from an extremely knowledgeable staff and it was overall a cool experience.

Pack orders daily,
I learned more computer skills touch screen.
hardest part was fixing conveyor jams.
I enjoyed the shipping part of work.

I work as a contractor through Advantage Technical. They don't offer hardly any benefits and the ones that they do are not hardly worth it. However, they are always very responsive.

I started this job on a temporary basis with the hope it would become permanent. Throughout my time there people got fired in groups until it was 4 of us left. It was okay for the most part. 

Great recruiter to get in with, he takes care of you. If ther are any problems, he will go to bat for you. The pay was great. There is no room for advancement because its a recruiter, and mostly contract work.
