Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated recruiter who will be responsible for sourcing, interviewing, screening, and onboarding qualified Home Health Aides to support the agency's staffing needs throughout New York City. The recruiter serves as the primary point of contact for prospective caregivers and is responsible for maintaining a steady pipeline of qualified candidates while ensuring compliance with all agency, state, and federal employment requirements.

Your energetic approach will help us build a strong talent pipeline, ensuring that compassionate and skilled caregivers are available to support our clients’ well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community while developing your expertise in talent acquisition within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

Recruit qualified Home Health Aides through online job boards, social media, referrals, community outreach, job fairs, and other recruiting channels.
Conduct phone screenings and interviews to evaluate applicants' qualifications, experience, communication skills, and availability.
Verify applicant credentials, certifications, identification, work authorization, and employment eligibility.
Coordinate background checks, reference checks, health documentation, and onboarding requirements.
Schedule orientation sessions and facilitate the hiring process from application through first assignment.
Maintain regular communication with applicants to ensure timely completion of hiring documentation.
Build and maintain a pipeline of active HHA candidates to meet staffing demands.
Partner with scheduling and operations staff to prioritize urgent hiring needs.
Accurately enter applicant information into the agency's applicant tracking system or HR software.
Maintain organized electronic personnel files in accordance with New York State Department of Health regulations.
Track recruiting metrics including applicant volume, hires, retention, and source effectiveness.
Represent the agency professionally at recruitment events and within the community.
Assist with employee retention initiatives and referral programs.
Perform other recruiting and HR-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting hiring goals.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking or HR management software.
Ability to build rapport with diverse candidates and provide excellent customer service.

Preferred Skills

Strong phone communication and interviewing skills.
Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to attract and close candidates.
Excellent follow-up and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments.
Familiarity with HHA Exchange, Salesforce or similar home care software is a plus.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
