Core work involved collecting observed urine specimens, data entry, labeling the samples and preparing them for shipment for a inpatient/outpatient drug rehabilitation clinic with occasional other duties. The hours were typically less than twenty hours a week, which even for the decent pay for the work will not sustain you very well if you need to make ends meet. There are also no benefits of any kind. Though the job itself is very low key, in a clinical office environment, though for 95% of my time there was without A/C of any kind and was offered poor temporary solutions to get by. Very bad for summer and winter. Downtime is typical. The majority of patients aren't a hassle, clinicians are nice enough (some are more annoying then others) aside from one or two EXTREMELY rude nurses and management overall is very nice and generally know what they're doing. Essentially, you have three "bosses", the clinic aka client, All Med who pays you and handles administrative issues that arise but you almost never interact with and the diagnostic lab you technically do work for. 

My biggest complaint is that I was laid off without warning, told it was due to "business decisions we weren't privy to" between All Med and the client and diagnostic lab, completely unrelated to my performance. But then I noticed that the same day I was let go by All Med they reposted the exact same position. Thus meaning that I was most likely lied to regarding the reason for my firing, I was told "I'd be considered for any new openings" but also that nothing was available at the moment. Interesting. Another thing to notice is that they call the position "seasonal" but there is never a defined end of employment, I suspect its more of a cover for firing employees suddenly with a preemptive excuse. This summates to an egregious lack of transparency.

First, this is a temp agency.  
I was extended an offer for employment about 4 weeks ago.  I've filled out onboarding information, background checks, everything.  The last thing I heard was that they were going to be checking (the site) with All Medical my start date.  I actually gave up the idea that I would be working here.  Out of the blue I get a call the a position opened up in my area.  I was given a interview with the site managers.  I noticed in the email for confirmation of the interview that I would be doing a different job than I originally applied for.  While I am qualified to do this job, I haven't worked exclusively as a phlebotomist.  I wrote the account manager my concerns.  I spoke with another account manager who was handling the first position in a different area and she mentioned it was probably a standard form not to worry.  Well, my phone died during my part time shift at a local chain restaurant.  Next thing I know, the account rep canceled my interview without ever talking with me about my concerns.  I called the next morning first thing and explained I can do this job, I am certified to do phlebotomy, I just need to build my confidence level.  I was reassured at the original interview that I had the foundation to do blood draw.  The trainer said she could hone in on the skill and perfect it.  It was something that was trainable.  I asked this recruiter if I could get another interview scheduled.  I ended the conversation with the notion that she would be doing that.  I've made phone calls, left voicemails, and sent emails.  They haven't returned anything.  I even sent an email to the original recruiter asking if I am even in the running for the original job I applied for and if I'm not, could she please let me know as I have to find full time employment ASAP.  I haven't heard back from either recruiter since.  Communication seems to be a problem here and I'm not even working here yet.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working for All Medical Staffing allowed me to utilize my skills as a medical professional and navigate my social service skills ,Providing Quality services to multicultural communities throughout Chicago , working with other out of state health care workers as a great teammate  and receiving top pay .

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There were no stressful parts  simply because the team as a whole worked together to make  the high volume of patients, extremely hot weather outside tents long walks to and from work site  and 10/12 hour shifts  15 min breaks through out the shift . All were managed and easily worked out working as a great team 


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment was well laid out every day to accommodate all staff and the patients needs .

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Long hours,   very high volume of patients receiving testing procedures, universal precautions taken , setting up multiple testing tables throughout the day sanitizing  before and after testing large groups at a time . Resgistry patients into software used from high volume spreadsheet, navigating patients from the call in to the walk in listing provided daily as well as the positive testing results referrals made as needed

In my opinion, All Medical Personnel was an extremely toxic environment. The upper management consistently lied to me for the entirety of my employment there. They made promises to me that they did not intend on keeping. And I would not recommend anyone to ever work here. 

Half of the people that work there are amazing, very friendly and fun to work with. But the other half were absolutely horrible. They would be condescending and rude for the thrill of it. I felt like they would do whatever they could to make me feel inferior and if when I would stand up to them and say that I didnt deserve to be talked to that way. They would play the victim. Working there was a nightmare. 

There were times I was working 60-70 hour weeks with absolutely no recognition. They even misspelled my name on the stupid 1 year anniversary certificate they give out. The leader of my team was extremely incompetent and would never stand up for me in any capacity. There were also times when he would take credit for my work in meetings right in front of me. He would say and do anything to try and please his superiors. 

I know that this may sound like an over exaggeration but this was my experience. I could go into more detail but I think I painted enough of a picture. Like I said in the title, I would not recommend working at All Medical Personnel.

It’s a nice company for maybe starting your travel nursing career with as they offer very little compensation packages or benefits. Also you have to keep track of your time sheets that you fax or email to them as their payroll department aren’t very accurate and I had to have them correct my pay a few times. Also when they say that meal and living stipends are guaranteed at a certain rate their payroll department broke it down per number of hours worked that week and even at their required 36 hours it was always a few cents short of what they wrote
On their contract. It always made me wonder that if they were doing that with all their travel contracts how much they were shorting their travel staff.  Good support from recruiter but they as mentioned are a small company so offer little to no perks for traveling with them. But overall I loved my recruiter and would recommend them for a local assignment or a first time travel assignment to see if you like traveling or not. Just don’t expect the best rates or allot of perks because they are a small travel company as it was told to me when I asked if they offered car rental or any other perks or stipends? 

My typical day at work is filled with working with different types of people in very different situations.  The most enjoyable part of my current position is that I am able to interact with patients.  These people all need help and are in pain and what I do allows the doctor to know if the patient is eligible for medications.  It is fulfilling and challenging at the same time.
The most difficult part of my job is that I work four days a week and only half day on another.  While I enjoy my job tremendously I am in need of full time work that is both rewarding and fulfilling.
I work for a personnel company but I work at two locations of the same pain management clinics so I work with the same staff all ofour days of the week.  It can be challenging, at times, because I can only complete my job accurately when other members of the staff complete their jobs accurately.  However, I remain professonal and help them in any way I can.
I do not work with my management during the day.  I have telephone and email contact with them at all times, but I work and manage myself at all times.

• Recruit qualified Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Radiologist Technologists, EMTs, Registered Dietitians, Dental Assistants, Medical Assistants, Phlebotomists, Medical Receptionists and more.
• Place candidates in process to become employees of the company by having them go through online application, new hire paperwork, required online testing for appropriate positions, OSHA test, complete employment verification, license verification, internal interview process.
• Responsible for participating in the on-call rotation to service our clients.

I was so excited to start my first travel nurse assignment as a COVID-19 vaccine administrator.  after week one of working with all medical personnel this company made promises it didn’t keep, didn’t pay housing or food stipend  told the 20 staff that traveled out of state that they didn’t have a contract after being promised to work 40 hours a week. Cares Act money was given to many facilities to carry out the duties to vaccinate the population. This didn’t happen they were unorganized, lack communication, ran out of supplies and vaccines, work schedule were inconsistent with 1 day work week to 3 days. Nurses had to pay for their hotel out of their own money. The company didn’t care after many phone calls and emails. We were told to just hang in there and they were sorry.  Unless you are prepared to be living on the streets or your car don’t work with All Medical Personnel.

As a very new Phlebotomist I was happy to be getting my foot in the door with so little experience with this company. They only had one contract with a well known diagnostic company but I had hopes of getting experience and then waiting for a full-time job to open up so I jumped at the offer.No matter how well I kept up or was praised by the patients I would be blamed for the clients lack of organization, ability in management for appointments or just full-time employees deferring their stress onto me. I was bounced all over the county to fill in for full-time employees vacations and remained extremely flexible for any hours they had available. When I complained about being refused bathroom breaks or mistreatment by the client's full-time staff I was shelved ,put on hold and given no work assignments. This company is presently advertising for jobs and telling me there are no assignments available.

I enjoyed working @ Quest via All Medical Personnel. A typical day could be servicing from 7 - 26 patients by noon for blood draws. Working various accounts and for a variety of doctors with different personalities. Some were amazing and others were not, yet always treated them how I want to be treated... kind, nice and respectful. environment kind, changed a lot, New MA's flowed through often. Hardest part was when  new MA started they had to learn the flow and how it impacts the Phlebotomist if they don't know how to key the requisitions in. The thing I love most about the job is being on my own, working diligently to work my patient flow with ease of knowing my job and knowing and being aware of the patients needs and listening for concerns and acting on them. I love working with people of all walks of life.
