In 2023, I worked for All Star but left my role a month after completing their training program as I realized the position was not the right fit for me. The interview process was straightforward and consisted of two phone calls and a group interview. However, I found the group interview challenging, as it made it difficult to present my authentic self while being directly compared to others.  

The role was advertised as a recruiting position but turned out to be primarily a sales role. The training program initially appeared exceptional—they flew us out, covered our accommodations for a week, and immersed us in the company culture while preparing us for sales pitches. However, after the impressive first week, the remaining five weeks of training were difficult. There was a high level of micromanagement, and the responsibilities of the role were not clearly explained until about three weeks into the program.  

We were placed in cohorts of 10 or more new hires. While I appreciated the camaraderie with my peers, we shared a mutual sense of confusion regarding the expectations of the role. The company provided at-home setups for making calls, but the process felt overwhelming and unclear. We were expected to cold-call healthcare professionals, often using phone numbers sourced from TruePeopleSearch.com, and convince them to collaborate with the company, earning commission for successful placements.  

Additionally, we were encouraged to make calls outside of scheduled hours, and the guidance on discussing compensation and other essential details with professionals was insufficient. While the company had appealing aspects, such as its infrastructure and potential for career growth, it required employees to remain in their roles for at least a year before transferring departments. Unfortunately, this made it difficult to pursue opportunities better aligned with my interests.  

Overall, the company presented itself well during the initial stages but ultimately delivered a high-pressure sales environment rather than the recruiting position it was marketed as.  


At first my job as a recruiter was great and the culture was fantastic; however, a few months in I started to see the true dynamic of this company. A lot of changes were constantly happening and credentialing was so unorganized I would constantly have fall offs because my providers were over the credentialing process. It would take close to 4 months to credential a provider sometimes. During the interview they give you very false expectations that you're going to make a lot of money quickly but that isn't the case. Realistically you can make a lot of money at All Star but it will take 2+ years to do so. 

If you are looking to only work 8:30 - 5:30 then this is NOT the place. My director would always undermine people and claim we weren't trying hard enough because we didn't stay until 8pm. I don't think they understand the term "work smarter, not harder." It was a constant battle of not feeling appreciated so I ultimately left the company for a better opportunity.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with the chaos, non-existent communication, and poor leadership/management.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Chaotic. All Star acquired my company, Integrity Locums, in 2025, and things are still a mess and not organized at all. There are way too many competing ideas (the c-suite in particular seems to be at odds with each other, rather than working together) and the change is endless. There are some nice people, but everyone is now so worn down by the endless change and whiplash that you can feel people pulling back. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Lots of waiting for direction, following up on things, and trying to keep things moving despite leadership that doesn't value the work, despite their lip service.

Responsibilities include providing strategic sales to healthcare facilities all over the USA and permanent staffing to these facilities.  This was accomplished by working with the facilities and our Sales Team to maintain financial goals.

If you’re looking to become a recruiter - good luck. It’s a lot of micromanagement, they promote a heavy workload to meet quotas. To the point where they’re guilt tripping you into working nights and weekends because “that’s when everybody else is off”. The support from management was very backhanded. They’ll say good job, and then scream at you for not calling someone back fast enough. I’ve never felt so miserable before in my entire life than when I did working for this company. The company itself likes to have “fun”, sure, but it’s hard when it’s constant pressure to meet unrealistic expectations.

How many jobs can you think of where you can work in a nice relaxed and fun environment, not go home at night with aching muscles from having to do manual labor, laugh and joke with your co-workers and upper management, work smart and hard but not have to work 100 hours a week and at the end of the year, you earned a 6 figure income. Oh, and you get to do it in jeans and sneakers wearing your favorite team's hat or whatever else makes you comfortable. There are very few industries in this economy that allow you to earn a nice living. There are even fewer where you can do it in a place you look forward to going to every day.

They will tell you about all the money you can make and give you false motivation about your improvement, and then suddenly get extremely nitpicky about minor things and tell you that you are fired. You are pressured to harass medical professionals and not take no for an answer. 
Even if a loved one has passed or if they have broken a leg, you are told to spam them relentlessly anyway with a call, text, and email. You are constantly monitored and forced to attend team meetings just for them to tell you that you aren't doing good enough. The turnover is sky high, and for good reason.

Great company to work for, the owners are in the office giving encouragement to everyone they walk by. Company usually has a lot of events and contests to keep the environment fun. As far as the job, it's not a very reliable place to work long-term. Very stressful and a lot of "politics" played around the office. I've noticed a lot of favoritism with leadership and management as well. Great place to work and gain some experience, but I cant see myself working there for a long time.

All Star Recruiting strives for success and gives you all the tools to make it happen. This is not a micro-managed environment. If you have the skills, you will do well. If you are a team player you will fit in.
They foster a positive attitude, where the customer ( client or provider) comes first. We make things happen that other companies can or will not. There are not an abundance of meetings about meetings or HR rules and regulations. We are honest and hardworking.

All Star tries its best to have a great culture and it succeeds for the most part but the actual workload is alot for the day 1 compensation they offer. Most teams have their favorites that can do no wrong and it makes starting out on a new team that much more difficult. Also, the KPI's they ask of you are unattainable.. there just aren't enough physicians looking to do locums to get the quotas and the physicians that might be have been email blasted/text blasted so much the last thing they want is a phone call.

Overall, a solid company with nice enough upper management but for the average person starting out, its an UPHILL battle.
