Always Best Care Senior Services

I had an extremely disappointing experience working with Always Best Care. The lack of communication, disorganization, and overall disregard for their employees made this one of the worst agencies I’ve worked with.

1️⃣ Unprofessional Management: The agency does not communicate properly with their workers. When an issue arises, they don’t bother to check in or hear both sides of the story. Instead, they leave employees in difficult situations without support.

2️⃣ Poor Scheduling & Lack of Backup Plans: I was left past my shift because they failed to send a relief staff on time. When I contacted them multiple times, they acted clueless as if they had no idea what was happening. This level of unpreparedness is unacceptable.

3️⃣ Lack of Support for Caregivers: The agency expects employees to give their all but does nothing in return. After my situation, they didn’t even have the courtesy to call and check in. It’s clear they don’t value their caregivers, despite us being the ones keeping their business running.

4️⃣ Unrealistic Expectations: They place caregivers in difficult environments and expect them to handle everything alone. No proper training, no real support—just “figure it out” and deal with it.

I would NOT recommend working for Always Best Care. If you’re looking for an agency that actually supports and values its employees, this is NOT the place. Save yourself the frustration and find a company that respects your time and effort.

I worked for always best care for 2 years they are so unorganized and unprofessional.. They would send me out to clients houses and when I go to assist the client I find out that some of the things they told me was wrong with the person was inaccurate. Also I got sick once and had to take time off because I didn't want to get my client sick and they didn't even have sick days available for their workers. They want you to work all day everyday and slave for them can t miss no days unless you give them 10 days notice which is the dumbest I've ever heard . They sometimes sent me to clients houses on a 8 to 12 shift and they said i couldnt go out to take my half hour break or hour break . so bring your lunch..... Shame .....And How in the  bananas are you going give 10 days notice if you pop up sick. And they are liars I was injured away from work and couldn't perform my normal duties I called to tell one of the managers and she lied and told me she would find me a client with lite duty. I called for this person a few times to see if I was close to gtting a lite duty client no response no email. No text . no call or nothing .  A month later I get a letter saying I'm fired. What a work place so unprofessional. And will never recommended anyone to work their or sign up for their lazy service. Nore anyone in my family. And

I consider myself lucky to work for this agency. I have almost 10 years experience in Home Care Management. I became certified as a PCA because I thought having these skills would come in handy for supplemental income/part time.

The franchise I work for has been good to me. They send me to clients within my chosen driving radius. The majority of my clients have been an absolute pleasure to work for!

When you are dependable and professional, they will offer you lots of pick-up shifts. I have been awarded Caregiver of the Month twice, and I am part-time! They are generous with awarding gift cards of your choice.

I appreciate the Direct Deposit! What I would like to see happen though, is for them to investigate supplemental Health Insurances (payroll deduct) to offer all their Caregivers. I am under-employed and cannot afford insurance. The Health Care Marketplace sucks, and even with the portion they cover, I still cannot afford it.

It is typically a one on one assignment and just like any health setting irrespective of clients current physical appearance there is always that need to double check on the client every now and then coughing.Sleep patterns, Skin, color changes, weight gain or loss Client comfort, daily interactions and respect for privacy.
As a  direct provider of care/assistance my utmost priority was my clients comfort so once i had established a rapport with them they became a part of me and I don't see my reliability to them as a job but something I love to do" CARE".
The hardest part of the job is getting to know a person's do's and don'ts but you can't be guaranteed you will for even up to 11 weeks or close.
The most enjoyable part is waking up to yourself with a smile on the face that you made another person's day or night better either by listening, laughing at their jokes or paying mind to the little things no one else did .

I have worked at Always Best Care for three years. The company culture is positive, caring, and everyone goes out of their way to make sure the clients and caregivers have everything they need. The company genuinely cares about you and where you want to go with your career. They even offer a tuition reimbursement plan!

ABC works with your schedule and finds clients that fit, so you can build a relationship and routine with your clients.  They are always checking in with me and my clients to make sure they are offering the best possible service the company can offer.  They have a dedicated trainer that does in-office 
hands-on training on all their equipment and procedures (i.e., Hoyer lift, wheelchair, slid boards, hospital bed, perineal care, incontinence care, etc.) and meets you at the client’s home to assist you there as well if needed.  They also provide a wonderful library of on-line training videos (CEU Units) that also assist in building your knowledge.  They want you to be 100% confident in your abilities, so when you are with your clients, you are the best you can be.  


Typical days at this location were usually fast paced always has something to work on or something to do, so there was no such thing as down time unless you were on your brakes or lunch time of course. I learned so much about daily in and outside of how to have a successful business. I also learned a lot about myself. New work limitations I didn't even know I had. There not enough good and praise I can give managers at this company no matter what your position in the company. Always so helpful and never gave off that certain type of manager vibe you know, the : Sorry that's not my job type. The hardest part about this job, well for me there were two hardest. 1. When a client would unfortunately reach the end of their lives. 2. Having to intervene when it comes to light of how horrible some of the clients were treating and cared for by families friends ect. And having to walk away from the job when I did. Ok so 3 things I did not like.. Most enjoyable would honestly have to be watching a senior year up because he/she is so grateful to us for finding a way to continue to live in their own homes and have to be shipped off to some faculty.

The people in the office didmt communicate much at all they were a little rude. It takes days for the people in the offoce to get back to you. And they tell lies to the clients like telling a client my kids were in a car accident when they werent they were at home perfectly fine. The scheduling staff would chamge the schedule without you knowing so I would drive half hour to 45 mins away get to the clients house log in my app to find out it was either canceled or they chamged the time to a later time. The pay is okay but they threatened to lower pay to minimum wage if we had to call the office to clock us in when our apps didnt work in the area. They dont care about your well being they dont train people they just hire them and put them to work. And they hire anybody as long as they want to work. They made the company to always have someome to take care of their mom even tho she would constantly be abusive to the caregivers we would be told oh just do what you can while the person is a HUGE fall risk. I dont recommend this company to people.

I would arrive at work, log onto my computer and clock in, from there I would review any messages reguarding policy changes, meetings, or other work related memos. After going through memos I would then begin to pick up the previous days work including but not limited to building and maintainging personell files and employee files, assisting with the creation of client care plans, applying for insurance credentials, creating and updating employee training techniques and requirements, etc. The management of Always Best Care for the most part was great, I could always go to management with questions or concerns and they would be more than happy to respond. My co-workers were exceptional, they all helped one another out and completed all work that was assigned. The hardest part of my job was learning all the law and ethics that go into the healthcare field. The most enjoyable part of my job was the satisfaction I felt when I knew the work I was doing helped someone have a better life.

If you’re in admin, be prepared to do a lot of things you’re uncomfortable with. Like lying to caregivers during their interview about the work available. Even the salary we’re asked to exaggerate and tell them a weekly salary because they know if we tell candidates the hourly rate, that they’ll never apply. A lot of dead weight employees are kept in the office. In other words, as long as you kiss a** to this franchise owner; your job is safe. Lots of favoritism from management that’s supported by the owner of this branch.  This company has a lot of potential if the focus was not on office politics so much. Also be prepared to be okay with just about anything. This includes being insulted and belittled in front of colleagues regularly. Nepotism adds to the difficult work environment to make it clicky. Also ask about their retention rate during the interview, as why their employees usually last only a year or less.  

A typical day starts with getting to my patient's house, facilitating all of their needs then leaving for my next patient's house, rinse and repeat on a daily basis.

I've learned that working g with patients one-on-one is a very pleasant learning g experience. 

Hardest part of a job is when a patient that youve taken care of for a long time, passes away.

Most enjoyable part of the job is becoming close to your patients, and caring for them.
